Jane and Kali died in a hell dimension created by their abuser. Robin’s only arc this season was propping up Will. She got together and broke up with Vickie offscreen. The only thing mentions for Max in the ending is that she’s still with Lucas. No one looks out for Erica because she’s “tough”. You can’t convince me this show doesn’t hate women.

she's been abused nearly her entire life, she escapes for a few years and is happy for a while with her new friends even though she still has to hide and live like as an outcast, every day trying to figure out what to eat and not get caught, she meets her little sister for the first time but then she can't even be with her for long.

then she was captured and stripped of things that made her herself, she was literally experiencing the thing she feared the most, they killed her friends right in front of her, they dehumanized her and reduced her into a number again, they drained her off blood and gave it to pregnant women (all for nothing by the way, it was doing nothing but killing them and all of them just ended up exploding in the end. r.i.p.). she is so close to escaping but things fail and things just get even worse for her.

then, finally! she reunites with her sister and she's introduced back into the story. you'd think they'd try to give her more to do, give her more of a purpose, and maybe even some happy moments- but.. no. she's basically only here to tell jane that they both have to die. her sister's father does nothing but ignore her, be condescending, or just simply seems to hate her. she smiled maybe twice this entire season (i'm struggling to even think of a time she did). and then she dies alone in the upside down, in the lab she hated deeply and feared coming back to. surrounded by men who only wanted to kill or use her. believing that she was always meant to die and she was never going to have an ending where she lived happily.

she is currently floating around in the abyss with a bullet in her gut. or her body has been burned away.

i'm so tired of this horrible message they are sending. "oh yeah if you are stuck in a cycle of abuse the only thing left for you is death!!". wow, okay, thanks duffers.

it's like she was erased.

her death just really pissed me off and i have seen maybe one person acknowledge the fact that she's dead now and i just really wish more people talked about it-

another thing im really angry about is how the satanic panic storyline is completely written off by the epilouge. everybody suddenly loves eddie, everybody suddenly loves hellfire, everybody suddenly loves outcasts.

the stereotypical pretty popular girls go up to them and ask if they can go to a party because..dustin made a speech about accepting yourself?

this is the same town who was quite literally ready to kill eddie and the hellfire club for the horrible crime of being themselves.

stranger things and its writers doesn't understand outcasts. they don't get how awful it is to be mercilessly harassed. theyre the people who want everybody to "hug it out" and "be friends.", but the truth is, society doesn't cherish the different.

im sure if we all lived in a perfect world, then we could all hold hands and sing and dance, but thats just as make believe as an average DND campaign.

They really had El say "I do not fit in anywhere" and Will say "I'm not gonna fall in love" and went with it like they were blueprints to stick by instead of a misbelief that is meant to be disproved as part of their character growth and overall message of the story. Like wdym you presented two characters that have this deeply ingrained internal struggle revolving around their identity and decided to PROVE THEM RIGHT LMFAOOO

Oh and one of the boys CANONICALLY is in love with the other one.*
