However because of her displeasure with this arrangement, she wants to physically harm him.

Saw this ad on the train today, Crowded train, couldn’t make it all out but I liked the colors and the art style (the first photo is the one I took on the train the second is the one I found online when I got home). In this ad we have a woman thinking about hitting a man because he wanted to pay her on a net90 which is NOT illegal or wrong. It’s common business practice. However because of her displeasure with this arrangement, she wants to physically harm him.
Just another way we teach females of all ages that hitting a man is okay and acceptable. Messages like these are everywhere. Then you wonder why men ask if gender equality means they can hit back. Imagine if the genders were reversed. It would be fucking armageddon but it’s a woman hitting a man? No problem. Let’s put that in ads all over NYC. In no universe would it be acceptable for an ad agency to use the visual image of a man hitting a woman TO SELL INSURANCE but those same people who would swear up and down they are feminists and believe in gender equality, think this imagery is totally appropriate and the right way to send this BUSINESS message.

If you look into just a few you start to see a bingo board of similarities. e.g. ASAP Rocky, Michael B Jordan, Travis Scott, Lonzo Ball, Tiger Woods, Winston Duke, etc
I personally have talked countless times about the black queer men who do the same shit as black straight men. e.g. Frank Ocean, those two football players with their white twinks, Tyler the Creator, etc That doesn’t even address the black gay men who do race play born that is JUST like the scenario this whole thing starts out as but those studios know they can’t get away with calling the the black performers niggers… not that the black performers would themselves object but they need plausible deniablity about how fucking dehumanizing the shit is.

Y’all do you. I am a black gay gay man and have experienced queerphobia at the hands of black women and toxic masculinity expectations placed on me by black women. I see Candace Owens, Stacey Dash, Omorosa, etc out here fuckin over black ppl for a check. I live with and around black ppl in addition to taking in media and it still leaves me feeling like
Black men are not out here caping for the black community like black women are… end of story. Black men pop in when the issues benefit and affect us but otherwise crickets, where’s the white approval/money/pussy/bussy/ dick at.
I will call out black women when they do wrong, because they definitely fuck up. Lord knows I fuck up. I am calling out black men right now because even if I’m wrong and you’re right and most of us are not guilty of the shit… a lot of us aren’t holding the guilty ones accountable.

Okay that’s all well and good and all, except….where is the suitable entrypoint in THIS thread/discussion for that interjection? Where in THIS situation was there a Black man to call out and hold accountable? There explicitly isn’t one, outside of a completely fabricated persona made to illustrate a point. There was only a singular Black woman here cooning. And if you truly call shit out regardless of who is it doing wrong, then the only appropriate response here was, “Yeah she got issues. She need to do better”, and leave it at that. The same as if it was a Black man in her place. And instead, you saw this situation where it was a Black woman fucking up, and rather than criticize this singular Black woman fucking up, your insistent response was to put Black men as an entire swath on trial. Which, sure, we can do that at the appropriate time, but that wasn’t the discussion being had. You tryna discuss the Pantheon and the Colosseum while we in Paris to see the Eiffel Tower. And men aren't rehabilitation centers for badly raised women, either. We really need to stop pretending as if women have some monopoly on healing broken partners, as if there aren't men out here being broken daily in these relationships and tolerating all manner of foolery because they've been told their entire lives, by patriarchy, that their virtue and worth is to be found in "accepting her at her worst" at expense to themselves.
And by “actually admit when she’s wrong and apologize for it”, I mean being able to do these things without resentment. No passive aggressiveness, pettiness, need to try to turn it around or use that time as an opportunity to point out something you’ve done...none of that shit. A woman like that is an absolute gem of a partner who deserves reciprocation of all that she gives. Problem is, seems like every woman imagines herself to be that type of woman.
