Rewatching this scene and I just noticed how Armand was so grossed out at having to touch the sewer/street, he was literally staring at his hands and then wiped it behind his back
So, guys, I opened my package today - and oh my god, there were some surprises. And pretty cool stuff.
Just to make it clear: I bought the three small blood bowls and the photos of Louis' Paris apartment. So for god's sake - what did they send me? Exciting!!!!!
And guys, when I had unwrapped everything I felt a bit overwhelmed. Just look at this.
The books look rather inconspicuous. But then I realized that they send me Claudia's research for their travel to Eastern Europe!! Look at this:
The map below has a lot of notes and, oh boy, they are so interesting!
And Louis' photos... I only went through them to get an first impression what I really bought 😊. But even after a very superficial look I realized some things. And I'm sure that those of you who know Louis much better than I do will get a lot of stuff to delve deep into his character.
So don't worry. I will post everything and every photo in detail. You won't miss anything.
With the help of kind friends, I acquired some mysterious t-shirts that caught my eye in the TVL wardrobe auction. They've been bringing me much glee because I'm pretty sure they're production-made fake band tees!
These are all Gildan brand graphic tees (typically sold blank, wholesale), in multiple sizes and colors (so seemingly not serendipitously plucked from a a thrift store!)
Unlike most other wardrobe auction extra pieces, each has been labeled as "IWTV3":
If we assume all the tees with such writing are band tees, the full list of bands across all lots (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) is:

Crucially none of these bands exist, as far as I can tell! Some bands reference each other -- Ezra Low opens for Red Gard, Man Eater opens for the Electric Bitches.
Several shirts share the same design quirks, listing the openers but also the price, date, and time on the shirt. (Not a great decision for merch sales for a real life small act!)
The Wax Dolls shirts show them in Detroit September 15 and 17, which is interesting given the tour schedule on the official shirts, episode title speculation, and proximity to Halloween.
I think Ezra Low is a pun on choreographer Daniel Ezralow, perhaps best known for choreographing the Sochi Winter Olympics. The only IWTV crew/cast connection I can see is that he worked with director Julie Taymor who was coming up at Oberlin around the same time as Eric Bogosian...but I'm probably going off the rails here.
"Dog's Brekfast" is by far my favorite of the bunch. He reminds me of this iconic beast from the Star Trek TOS episode "The Enemy Within":
Anyway: I think someone in the art department had a lovely afternoon or two making up an interconnected universe of fake bands! I don't know if we'll actually see them on screen worn by extras, but they delight me nonetheless.
As much as I doubt it will happen, the idea of Lestat going head-to-head in a battle of the bands with some group called Man Eater is very funny to me.
I have a Daniel cosplay question for you. I saw a repost of your tiktok about the auction lot (congrats btw) and saw you have Daniel's 70s shirt. What is the manufacturer on that? I've been looking for something close to what he wears in the show but been striking out.
I bought the production used fabric from the IWTV Canada auction, and unfortunately, there's no tags on it (beyond the costume tag, which didn't list a manufacturer). I'm sorry I don't have a better answer!
I already shared on Twitter, but I won Daniel Molloy's bag and tape recorder in the IWTV auction — and it came with a lot of fun surprises inside the bag, including:
• Two of his interview tapes (Kevin, the Vietnam vet who lived in the Castro with his amputee boyfriend, and "Greg")
• Some notebooks/notepads
• An eraser
• A hankerchief with an embroidered flower (Daniel???)
• French pamphlet's about a women's rights union (sure lol)
• A pencil sharpener
• A bunch of call sheets/production schedules from episode 8
This is definitely the screen-matched satchel, I can match it in several places, and I am ECSTATIC. 2x05 is my favorite episode of the series, Daniel's my favorite character, and this all just means so much to me. Literally gasped when I saw the tapes.
(Also not pictured because they were separate in a plastic bag, but I also got like 50 cassette tape sleeves lol)
