Why is it that I type trans men on Tumblr. I only see pics of Trans women under the same tag? I'm a trans man
i don't know what the fuck you want me to say to this. I don't go in tags. I don't post in tags. I don't pay attention to how tags work on this site. I think you might be looking in the wrong places. Why don't you ask other trans men where you can find pictures of them, instead of asking me. a trans woman. why you aren't seeing trans men. i am not the entire website of tumblr. i'm one fuckin' blog.
seems to be a consensus
Something about the bastardization of the story time and time again proves that nobody in power really cares about the people who would resonate with Kingâs Carrie White. A girl so ugly and repulsive sheâs been removed from her own story. The societal need for women and girls to be constantly perceived as attractive is what fuels a fair amount of her torment in the book, but that person isnât even allowed to exist on the screen. We cannot empathize with her; it isnât allowed. Itâs fascinating to me.
they should rename saturday and sunday to scary 1 and scary 2
they should make it stop

Interesting things happening on Reddit right now
having the Aviation Accident Investigations Autismâ˘ď¸ has actually done wonders for the way I process and respond to my own fuck-ups
And I don't just mean "oh, my little work mistake is actually nothing compared to a fiery crash that kills people," either. The reason commercial flight is so many orders of magnitude safer than any other form of transportation is because after every accident and incident, an independent regulatory body investigated it with the express goal of figuring out exactly what happened, why, and how to prevent the same thing from ever happening againânot to root out which person deserved the blame or the liability.
It's a simple, shockingly effective idea. It's also worlds away from how most people approach their own mistakes and the mistakes of others.
Because itâs never just one personâs fault. And even when it is, it still isnât.Â
The sharpest, best-trained pilots make worse decisions when they're tired or sick or stressed out, so there's two of them. The most dedicated and experienced air traffic controllers garble an instruction over the radio sometimes, so pilots are trained to always repeat clearances back to catch misunderstandings quickly. The best and brightest maintenance mechanic still overlooks a screw or misconnects a wire once or twice in her career, so aircraft systems are built with two or three or four layers of redundancy, and pilots are exhaustively trained to deal with failures safely.Â
Everyone eventually has a bad day. Every component breaks down. Every computer gets a bad a Windows update and spirals into a reboot doom loop. If itâs possible for one personâs mistake to domino into a mushroom cloud of a fuckup, then that task is too critical to be one person's sole responsibility. The accident sequence starts with the design of the systemâso how do you improve the system to keep it from happening again?
oh yeah. The âmodern commercial aviation is the safest form of transportâ thing only applies to planes, btw. A helicopter is a beautiful metal horse that wants to break its legs and die so so so badly
For context, this is Jewish actor Miriam Margolyes. A self-identified dyke, she was professor sprout in the harry potter movies but she's been extremely prolific over five decades. She's pro trans and pro Palestinian.
Never forget how she went and spoke to trans women / trans fems and when she said something that was ignorant (she mentioned the expectation for them to shave), she listened when they corrected her and apologized immediately. Then, when the group explained how they express gender, she went "I understand" and continued to listen and learn.
She's always one of my favorite examples of someone with celebrity status retaining humanity and speaking up for minorities.
I didn't know she was pro Palestine until now, so that makes me even happier to hear.
Between that male doms post, the post about exhibitionism being hot so long as men are not involved, and even one of my yuri forcefem instant loss posts I think itâs just a universal true that a lot of potentially hot or arousing things are kind of ruined by the presence or existence of men. The combination of already being societally pushed into being a sex object for men and not being attracted to men really kills so many examples of something that you might otherwise enjoy.
this extends to art about fetish worlds. the problem is that too often art about Fetish World where its your fetish is made by a man being very heterosexual about it and it ruins it.
World where men are regularly at risk of magically turning into women (awesome) and then men have sex with them (lame).

the two kinds of tgirl are âinfinite anger that destroys everything around herâ and âinfinite patience that lets the world turn her into a doormatâ. and they both love giving the other unhelpful advice about how to manage their emotions
