Average pro tvl post: we can't do censorship guys! This is a gothic show of course there are going to be fucked up things in! That doesn't mean it's a bad show!
Average tvl critical post; I don't like racism
i miss s1 lestat! i liked him BECAUSE he was arrogant, vicious, volatile, larger-than-life, inconsiderate, cruel, and also had these wonderful tender moments and you could generally see how intensely he loved louis and how even when he was at his worst, it was BECAUSE of that love (which is not louis' fault to be clear) and that he was failing to contain his explosive emotions and anger... they did a great job of having his "i don't like being abandoned speech" be both moving AND potentially manipulative (whether he meant to be or not) according to louis. like. the whole crux of his character was that he was a bastard and yet very charismatic.
whereas s3 lestat is both suffering from being generally flat/passive/badly written AND ALSO they've completely shaved off all the things that made him interesting and likeable in the first place. like he has a few Funny Quips(TM) (which aren't even funny, generally) but that's not what made him funny!!! the fact that he was SUCH a BASTARD made him funny!!! AHHHHH.
no but actually why did armand chop lestat's head off? like what for? does anybody know why he did that? 😭
Hate that the media illiterate crowd got ahold of the term "media literacy" bc now we have people bemoaning that media literacy is dead because "stupid antis are watching the evil people show and getting upset when the characters are evil 🤣" and not thinking "maybe the writers who are supposed to be treating this sexual assault scene seriously shouldn't be blatantly jerking off to it under the table."

Assad Zaman SDCC 2026
i like to think about loumand laying together one night and louis just turning over and gently trailing the tip of his finger down from armand's forehead, over the bridge and tip of his nose, down over his lips and finishing off at his chin before gripping it real gentle to turn his head. not to kiss him but to nuzzle their noses together until they fit just right. just for a moment.
