So I asked my local cafe what they did with all their spent coffee grounds this morning. I was shocked & little disappointed to hear they just chuck them in the regular bin at the end of the day. So I asked if I could take some off their hands to experiment with some organic skin care @jessies.sweet.spot and I are working on and look how much I got. Used coffee grounds are completely organic and not yet contaminated by anything else as they are kept separate in the "bang bang" box. It's also great on your garden especially natives. I just saw this delightful stranger picking up loads of other people's rubbish. When I commended her on her efforts and told that's normally me, she mentioned she works at the aquarium in marine conservation. Simple changes are all that are required to tackle this massive single use plastic pollution issue we face at the moment. I almost ordered this delicious salad take away then I realised the packaging it would come in and thought eating in or taking away really makes no difference except the fact that now I enjoyed it #zerowaste and didn't feel guilty about adding to the issue.
