This week we have seen lives changed, we have seen young people give their lives to Jesus; all by the Love of the Father, but through those who had already chosen to follow him. As i sit and wait for my journey home; so many young peoples journeys are just beginning today because of the faithful who stepped out and brought the message of Jesus to so many schools across Sheffield. One of my most favourite photos in the world. Its at the side of my bed and i look at it daily. This photo is of me and my beautiful sister; Rachel. I just want to thank my sister today for being (in my eyes) the worlds greatest sister. You have been a great encouragment and rock in my life. When i look at this photos al I see is love and a carefree life. This symbolises how our life should be in Christ. 1. He loves us unconditionally no matter who are what we are and 2. We should be carefree; lay our burdens at his feet and walk away knowing that our Father has it all under control. Love starting the day with my devotional. Today was a reflection of the week gone by. I decided I needed something more so i picked up "My Name is Jesus" I opened the book and started to read about the two crooks who were beside Christ on the Cross. One line stood out as plain as could be to me ... Taken and paraphraised by Max Lucado it reads "A sin soaked criminal is received by a blood stained Saviour" This spoke volumes!!! Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. (1 Corinthians 9:24-27) In all things we must have discipline. There's no point running the race and only training the day before; no point running and only giving 20%. In everything we do ensure its with a disciplined heart, soul and body ... Give God 110% of what youve got each day ... Don't give him what you have left at the end of the race ... We all face the storms of life but its whether we choose to praise him through these times or blame him that can make all the difference.
