As much as I adore Jodie Foster and think she did an incredible job with Clarice, I must address a very important issue she missed:

Clarice Starling is batcrap insane.

Exhibit A: Chases a dude known to filet girls in his basement with zero chance of backup and single handedly rescues the daughter of a senator.

Exhibit B: The amount of swearing she does in her head.

Exhibit C: She does not censor herself in front of officials or authority figures. All y’all are going to hear exactly what she thinks.

Exhibit D: Whatever the HELL happened in Hannibal. The entire book. Insane.
