Some isopod studies from reference. I wanted to get some practice in before attempting to make some isopod pins. Fun fact: Terrestrial isopods have 7 main scutes (plates) before their little butt plates start.

Wasp-posting-wednesday!!
Ever heard a wasp tantrum before?
She (a great golden digger wasp, sphex ichneumoneus) was trying to dig a hole for her offspring, but the blades of dead grass were getting in her way. So while trying to grip and tear them out, she was buzzing and huffing which made it look as if she was having a tantrum. Pretty funny and cute. Turn up your volume to hear her squeak!
whoa ! watch where you’re going you almost scrolled past her

If someone asked me what my favourite wasp was, I honestly wouldn't be able to answer because there are too many cool ones! It would be shameful to not draw a Cameronella, so here it is! This subject was way easier than the Eutrichosoma from before, it was actually therapeutic in comparison.
I've seen these in museum collections! They are tiny and weird and no one really knows why they're shaped like a dart!
Most fucked up thing i ever drew...
