I cannot stress this enough, write it poorly. Write the shittiest draft you possibly can, stick 'ah fuck something happens here and now they're fighting' to get over

Write the worst fucking version you possibly can and stick it in a folder and forget it for a month or two before you look at it again. You know what you have now?

A first draft. And with enough time to think some new thoughts about it, you'll soon end up with a better, second draft! And eventually, you'll end up with something you'd be perfectly okay with letting other people read!

You'll never believe this process works no matter how many times you do it, but it totally does. You just have to drag your brain kicking and screaming to that blank page and get the bones down first.

Write the shit out of that shit.

The advice of "every word has to advance the plot" is so wild like why are you starving it. If story is craving some good scene that doesn't advance the plot but it's cool and you want it to happen, do it. Feed your story so it can grow strong.

FALLING DOWN THE WELL????

EEEK !!! So, Falling down the well was actually supposed to be for an event but I TOTES overestimated my ability to meet a deadline. It was for the prompt Scott + death, and is basically more of a character study fic !! I ended up being particularly intrigued by Time of Death as inspiration.

She’s on the bench for now, but I don’t plan on abandoning it!!! Even though I move at a fuckin GLACIAL pace when writing LMFAOOO

Hi! I knew you before it was okay to ?

Hiiii okay YAY this one is so special 2 me!!

I knew you has been in the works since like, EVER, and is my big-ish T4T sciles fic :] the fic is basically Scott in his adult years living with Stiles and reminiscing on how they grew up together as trans boys, and eventually became a couple. The title is of course from the fact that Scott and Stiles have known each other since before they even fully knew themselves, having grown up and transitioned together, which just, AUGH, GETS me in my little T4T-loving heart.

I had all these ideas about trans Scott and Stiles bits that I kept thinking up and were so so special to write, and the premise to combine them all came to me very naturally. It sounds somewhat vague when I describe it lololol but it has so many moments that I love sooo much!! Hopefully I’ll be able to dedicate more time to it soon instead of it just living in my brain/drafts bc I would love love love to share it w people (preferably some time in the next CENTURY if I can freakin’ manage it!!!).
