MangaPlaza: A Japanese-style ayakashi Cinderella story! "You're the bride I've been searching for all this time." The ayakashi and humans coexist in harmony. The ayakashi, having superior abilities and beautiful appearances, sometimes find their partner among human women, making them their "bride". The bride, in exchange for bringing prosperity, receives absolute love from the ayakashi. Yuzu is constantly compared to her sister, a bride of a demon fox, and is resented by her family every day. One day, when Yuzu just couldn't take things anymore, a man appears before her on a bridge. This man is the most beautiful man Yuzu has ever seen... and he's calling her his wife?! "Just be quiet and let me hold you." The most powerful, "cold-hearted" ayakashi is pouring his heart out for Yuzu?!

VOCALOID 初音ミク
Mo Ran's "character development" was him learning the most important rule a man can learn in his life: sometimes in order to get milf hole you have to shut the hell up and go along with whatever nonsense they demand
Chu Wanning: you must practice proper dining manners if you want to eat me out
Mo Ran in his first life: what the fuck does that even mean
Mo Ran now: yes shizun of course. I will keep my elbows off the table while I spread your legs. Whatever you want
I can’t believe I never reposted this ranwan to tumblr-

I still think the most devastating enshittification I've ever seen has been picrew. One of the few dress-up game websites left that's not flash-based and it's become DRENCHED in ads. You can't open the home screen without being blasted by at least three or four ads. You can't open two picrews in a row without watching a video ad first. When you have a picrew open the ads cover up the different options and sometimes even stack on each other so you have to hit like 2 or 3 different x buttons to get it to go away, only for more to appear seconds later. Evil world
It got worse - they added a subscription service
WHAT
For once I can be the one to promote alternate sites, my time to shine has finally come
Now I will say I do use an adblocker so I can't say how many ads all these places have, but- Here's some other places you can go to dress up little characters on your screen!
meiker.io - A free dress-up/character creator tool/platform filled with a TON of neat little games. There ARE ads on this site unfortunately but imo they aren't overwhelming (and from what I understand them running ads helps keep the site free, so). I've been using this site off and on for years already bc most games are fullbody instead of headshots, which I find more helpful w oc creation, and I can say in my experience it all runs extremely smoothly :) of everything here this site is the most similar to picrew
DollDivine - One of the classic dress-up game websites. Not only is it still up but it is actively being updated with new games, and the owner has been working to try and transfer the old flash games into a program called Ruffle so that they can still be played. Most of the games that I played when I was younger are already back up and working again thanks to this. DollDivine is also the host site for the games featured on Rinmaru Games back in the day so if you were like me and lived and breathed that site for most of your pre-teen years, you will be delighted to know that many of those games were saved here! :D
Azalea's Dolls - Another classic one that is still running and still being added to! If you like Disney/fairytale-esque dress-up games you will love this website, they have some BEAUTIFUL games. They have also been transferring many of their old games into Ruffle, so a good chunk of those will be working again too.
PastelKatto Games - A site owned/managed by one of my personal favourite developers back in the day. While the creator has moved on from publishing their own games they still update the site with other games every so often, and the catalog of games they created over the course of the last decade or so is absolutely worth your time. The range of options they would give to players for characters included a wide range of skin tones, vitiligo, missing limbs + prosthetics, scars/burn marks, and more. Plus their art is also just really, really pretty.
VeggieStudio - If you like anime-esque games then this is the site for you. Their catalog may be quite small, but all the games on this site are beautifully drawn. You may recognize their style if you played any Rinmaru games, as they did the art for a few of those back in the day.
Most of these sites mainly feature games that center around female/feminine characters, but there ARE games where you can make guys/masculine characters as well. But just a heads up in advance. None of them are hardwired for pfp creation either, so if you're looking for that you might not find a lot here. But otherwise, def check these sites out! The flash purge hit dress-up game communities HARD but people have been working to keep things running in some form or another ever since the news dropped. It's been rough, but all has not been lost and a lot of the old games I used to play are now playable again! :D
also this is insane but like. GaiaOnline is still up and the economy is recovered enough that it's actually very achievable to just get stuff by playing pinball and taking your daily rewards.

I love the Hananene and Mitsukou parallels.

I understand the value of artistic liberties but what exactly is Yugio's haircut supposed to be. I've wondered this since childhood
Yes yes yes its just supposed to look interesting and cool, it's not supposed to translate into the 3D space, but if it did what would it be
As we can see above, this haircut:
Is dark in the back, blached in the front
split into minimum two groupings: Body and Bangs
Spiked in the back, likely with the use of gel or styling mousse
Obviously this is an anime, and as other features such as eyes, ears, and legs are exaggerated I feel it is safe to interpret the length of hair as exagerrated as well.
This is a convenient assumption because otherwise, spiking shoulder-lrngth hair into seven (minimum) rigid vertical spikes would be impossible to maintain.
Assuming a real-life Yugio haircut could exist as inspiration got this style, I imagine a haircut that is either short and spiked in the back with natural bangs, or long in the back and textured with shorter bangs to frame the face. Either way, either the front is bleached, or the additional blond spikes in the back could be interpreted as highlights throughout the darker, perhaps natural hair.
Given these criteria, I have narrowed the possibilities dow to these three hair styles:
For research purposes please enter your interpretations to the poll attached below
Which Hairstyle Does Yugio Have
The Karen or Sasuke Bob
The Glam Rock Mullet
That Thing
No fourth option because I'm right
So there is a definitive answer for this, according to the people I know who Cosplay Yugi/Yami of Yugioh and style wigs for it: They start with No-Bangs Bobcut , Dye it the appropriate colors but in the same pattern as "That Thing" (AKA 'White bangs") above, usually by applying sucessive layers of warm colors (yellows, then reds, then warm blacks), and then Gel into a Hyper-Karen Bob.
So it's a Red-shift-White-Bangs-Hyper-Karen-Bob cut-and-color, and that's one hell of a mouthful, so it's fine to just call it a Yugioh for short.
I think I may have a guess for this
Yugi and Atem have slightly different hair, with Atem having a more extreme version of Yugi's hair. However, it is important to note that there is likely no actual physical difference in Yugi and Atem's appearances. His close friends, before finding out Atem existed, simply noticed that Yugi seemed more confident, not that he got taller, voice changed or hair changed. So that might not be diegetic, but a difference for the audience's sake.
It's also worth noting that anime tends to exaggerate things, particularly hairstyles. So in reality, Yugi's hair may be less like this:
But more like this:
This is a bonkers haircut for a shy, quiet, goody two shoes Japanese schoolboy to have
That's cus he's goth!
He wears chokers and stuff. He's shy cus nobody talks to the weird goth kid who loves gaming.
It's actually Visual Kei, though there was definitely overlap between the goth/punk subcultures and the Visual Kei world! The author was pretty openly inspired by the Visual Kei culture of the 80's and 90's, which has many many hairstyle examples that are similar to what Yugi wears:
The show itself had many collaborations with Visual Kei performers and bands, too, so it's pretty obvious how the series takes inspiration from the culture aesthetically as well. You can see it in some of the fashion choices, too, not just the hairstyles, as well as how visual kei took cues from and overlapped with goth and punk styles as well:
It's the costume designer in me, but I always think it's important to remember and reference the period and location something was made when you're trying to figure out why it was designed the way it was, and how to realistically recreate it.
Yugioh is very obviously of its time, and that's a good thing! Take a dive into learning about the period subcultures and you'll find lots of cool things there, and a lot of insight into why your favorite things were made the way they were, too. :)
This is how the official figures do the hair in 3D btw!
obsessed bc she DOES tone it down a little a second later
(i added the video because its ending me)
