-shooting the fish with a bow and arrow (this is the only actual irl fishing method in the entire game)

-bombs

-creating pillars of ice beneath the fish and then picking them up as they flop around

-swimming really fast and grabbing them presumably with your bare hands and/or teeth

-swimming really fast and chasing them until they beach themselves and then picking them up

-electrocuting the water with magic weapons

-wearing rubber armour and metal equipment and sitting in the water and waiting for lightning

Why are some people so deadset on discrediting the very, very hard work the animators did to basically save this movie’s prospects within a few months’ time? Not everything is a conspiracy - most times, capitalism is just that stupid and arrogant. It is a miracle the studio actually listened to fan outcry and changed Sonic’s design. See this for what it is - and give Tyson Hesse and the animation team of this movie the credit they deserve.

they're such varieties of the basic desire to be wanted

they say these things and they mean "love me because i am lovable" not "love me because you find me desirable/you have realised you already do/you want something from me" etc

it's "love me because i am me and you are aware of that" and it's something you can just scream to someone when you can't find another way to say "i am choosing to love you because loving you is something i want to experience no matter the outcome"
