Anyway, I know Mount Massive was a horrifying place of human experiments and shit, but I can't help but feel like there was at least one doctor there who was some self-righteous asshole with a hero complex, but he was better than everyone else. I'm imagining this exact situation with that doctor scolding the patients.

Am I the only one mildly outraged that anyone would even THINK about comparing Judge Holden to AM and the Qu? Yeah, a purely evil HUMAN that did inexcusable crimes especially to a ten-year-old girl is totally comparable to a mad (insane) supercomputer trying to seek revenge on its creators and an alien species that pretty much resembles white/european colonizers.

Yes, they’re all PURE evil but in their own ways, but specifically because Holden is a human is what makes him terrifying. Not saying he’s a bad character, but comparing him to two other drastically different characters feels like it’s all dumbed down to “haha pure evil” but no discussion as to why.

Please tell me if I’ve gotten something wrong, I’ve only read ihnmaims and everything else I source from wikipedia pages and online discussion.

Outlast Actor Au Headcanons pt 2: Miles

Like a lot of the characters, Actor Miles has a similar personality to his canon personality.

He's got a mouth like a sailor but the main difference between Game Miles and Actor Miles is that Actor Miles is really just a total goober

One love language he has for his friends is insulting the shit out of them.

Some of his affectionate insults were actually written into the story because they're so out of pocket and they made everyone laugh

"Dude, Chris, I love you man, but when you're in makeup your face looks like someone tried to fuckstart your head with a cheese grater."

Chris isn't a huge laugher, but that one got him good

He had a shit ton for Eddie and Waylon but none of them made it in because they wouldn't be story relevant

They wrote them all down though

He could not for the life of him take any moment seriously. The film crew lowkey hated working with him at first because they had to keep redoing the scenes because he wouldn't stop making jokes

His antics grew on them all though, this is a wholesome au

Miles is also gay as shit and a total man whore, he's hit on every member of the male cast at least once.

Him and Chris may or may not have something casual going on but that's neither here nor there

Don't ask Chris about it, he'll make eye contact with you in the bathroom

Miles can't really commit to anything tho yet cuz he's a wimp

Speaking of, he likes to third wheel on Waylon and Lisa's marriage all the time

Like, he crashes their dates all the time. I picture him the Blitzo to Way and Lisa's Moxxie and Millie

Don't judge me for that, I hate that I watch Helluva boss but don't act like you don't have a cringey pleasure, I see your filthy browsing history you whore

Miles also gets into a shit ton of flame wars and verbal fights because he's easily ragebaited, but also because he likes the feeling of pissing someone off in return

Oh, and he's a total manboy, loves Ninja Turtles and Marvel, will rant for hours on end about the quality of reboots and how true to the original material they are

Outlast Actor Au Headcanons cuz I'm procrastinating

Miles, Lisa, and Waylon went to college together and got the same jobs as they do in canon, but they hang out and play video games together

They came up with the idea for the "Movie" premise by joking about how useless they'd be in an actual fight when playing horror games, "Oh my God, imagine me just trying to write an article during a violent prison outbreak"

It got a little more serious when they kept talking about it and it turned into a whole project about corporate corruption, exploitation of the vulnerable, and capitalist greed and hubris.

They started these whole brainstorming and worldbuilding sessions together, just structuring out a story and world. They even threw in their own experiences, like Miles being fired for reporting on Afghanistan, or Waylon leaking information about unethical practices

Miles, being a journalist, was really good at finding folks to interview about experiences involving their main themes, and that's kinda how most of their actors came to work on the project

Chris was a Afghanistan war veteran who now works as a TSA agent (cuz mama loves Rod from Get Out)

Eddie was a tailor with a traumatic childhood and was ultimately failed by the system meant to protect him

Trager and Jeremy were two nepo babies who came out the pussy at the top, but fell on hard times cuz their big Daddies got into some scandals and lost a lotta lawsuits. So they have experience on the asshole side of corporate America, but they're more down to earth now (Neither are rapists in this AU, just two assholes learning to suck less)

Still figuring out what Frank's deal is, but I'm thinking he struggled with Drug addiction and wasn't able to afford quality treatment cuz what the hell is American Healthcare?

Miles and Waylon initially interviewed them all just to get their experiences, but they all kinda bonded and became friends so they were like "hey, wanna be in our movie?" and they were all like "Fuck yeah"

The whole cast is really tight now and they all hang out even after filming and production (cuz mama also loves wholesome shit)

Working on gathering Game Grumps clips for Miles and Waylon. I have no fucking clue how I connected them, but it fits so well in my fuckass brain. I'm literally watching a video of Arin's confidence blowing up in his face and all I can think of is "Haha, Miles when he followed a mysterious email to a criminal insane asylum alone with no weapons or backup and ended up the host for demonic nanobots."

Look, don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker in hell for Waylon's ships in the fandom, Weddie, Camerashipping, you name it.

The thing is, I see these ships and remember "Oh yeah, this boy is married with two kids" and then I read Waylon's notes and I'm like "Ah shit, this boy is down bad" and then I read them again and I realize "I don't want these two to ever be divorced because this sappy motherfucker is the sweetest husband ever, and there's no way his wife isn't totally kick-ass."

So I just headcanon now that Way and Lisa are poly and let each other have other partners, and hell maybe they become a throuple,

I Think Of Waylon Like a Wet Fish

I get the point of Outlast is that you don't stand a chance, but Waylon doesn't even sit a chance. Like you cannot tell me this boy wasn't holding back his tears and grossly sniffling in abject terror during his whole adventure.

I ain't sayin' that's a bad thing, that' basic fucking human instinct, I appreciate it more than anything, I want more physically weak men in media. Being weak is not a bad thing, but it gives me so many fun ideas for headcanons.

Like, if someone insults Lisa, he'll do his damn best to defend her, but his best sucks.

He'll stand up and say some dumb shit like "Hey, what did you say to my wife?" And then get smacked across the room like a ball of wet paper towels thrown on a sweaty naked guy's back.

Lisa actually has to tell him not to defend her anymore because she's genuinely worried about him getting hurt, but Waylon is a good hubby and loves his wife goddamnit. Like she'll end up being the one defending him in the end.

To all my weak boys out there, no shame in not being able to fight, Waylon Park still made it through hell.
