You need to know them because they will play very important roles in the history of China. The Yangtze has been crucial to trade, movement, culture and more. The Yellow river, the Yellow River can’t be trusted as you will repeatedly see.”

If you got stuck on a question during a test or whatever you could start with “the Yellow river jumped the banks causing instability and chaos that quickly spread” and would be correct more times than you would be incorrect.

Just thought of a random fundamental difference between fans who read fic and those who don’t… character names. Like I’m no mind reader but I’m fairly sure that marvel bros think of them as Iron Man and Captain America (just two prominent examples this goes for any character I feel like), while to us gremlins they’re Tony and Steve. Like it feels a lil disrespectful the way I’m on a first name basis with these superheroes but that’s what happens when you read 50k words of heartbreaking mutual pining over the course of a night I’m sorry
