Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' new music video is awesome. You can tell there was a lot of thought behind the story that they are telling and a valid message.
Why is it such a problem to have same sex marriage? It is just a piece of paper that recognizes the two as a couple from the state. Oh, the land of the free.
Being able to stir such emotion with so little time when you consider the video broken up into segments. There was the youth which left the main character standing alone at a dance, with feelings of hopelessness or being lost and confused. To the declaration to his parents, who stormed out of dinner leaving the sense of abandonment and questioning faith. To the latter part of the video that left us with rejoice to see that they pursued their wants regardless because they had love.
A good song and even better video. I love that a music video can do that when done right.
