British is not a neutral term, it can be and is often a political term. Over half of the Scottish and Welsh population, when given the choice of choosing a mixture of national identities, including their own and British, chose Scottish/Welsh only identities.
When people started calling the Northern Irish British, it became a political term. When people keep on referring to Britain to mean England, that is political. When we were colonised, forced into a union, then told to take on the same national identity as our colonisers, that was political.
Actually listen to us when we say what we want to be called, and stop insisting on technicalities. It is political. Stop being incredibly ignorant and disrespectful of us.
ooooojhhh i hate how Europeans think they're not just as racist as USAmericans, they have such a holier-than-thou attitude about it all. As if they don't have such harsh views about the Romani people. Or just as racist views against immigration as the US. Or a staunch hatred against Muslims. Or even a weird hatred against white Mediterraneans who are just a liiitttle tanner than an someone in Norway or some shit
you talk generally about anything remotely facist or racist and everyone is immediately like "yeah America is so scary! Trump is so dumb lol" NO stop it!! The UK government and news outlets are villanising and removing rights from disabled people DAILY. You post anything remotely close to complaining on your towns local Facebook page and at least half the comments will be talking about immigrants like they single handedly carved every pothole into our roads.
like yes America has big scary issues but as someone living in not America I'm fucking sick of everyone talking about it because it feels like we're using it to ignore our own decline.
a few of my friends didnt vote because they werent registered, werent educated enough on the parties or werent bothered
not being registered ok fair enough, make sure you are next time.
if not being bothered is your issue, please take more interest in our country’s politics next time around.
not being educated enough? get educated! ask your friends their thoughts! ask your family! take what they’ve said and verify it because they won’t know everything, but usually the people you surround yourself with will have similar politics to you. and if they don’t, you will figure that out quickly.
We didn’t always have this right to have a say in the future of our country. We didn’t always have a Senedd. You used to have to be important to vote. Everyone can, and should, vote now.
50% is such a sad number to see. thats high for the Senedd. this isnt a play-parliament, this effects your life. They control healthcare and education and transport. Big important issues with Wales, and half of people dont care who controls that.

You might read headlines like this and think “that’s bad but that doesn’t constitute genocide” do me a favour google what happened to disabled people last time they where separated from family and friends and society
its so funny how you people say things like this about christianity (with literally no real complicated understanding of one of the worlds largest religions that is in literally every single country and continent) but cant comprehend like. the historical persecution of catholics
am i insane for thinking normalizing “all religious people are stupid babies who dont deserve their beliefs” will also inevitably slide into islamaphobia and antisemitism
it’s “all religion is evil” but they’ll only ever name christianity because its vaguely lefty sounding. but i dont think for a second you’re normal about jewish people either 👍
dude it's just politics, it doesn't matter. all it does is shape every single aspect of the society you live in from the second you are born until forever
What is even there to say? I can't keep waking up in a world where I read the news and I see schoolchildren bombed, millions of people displaced, old ladies carrying their cats and while their houses get turned into rubble, the waste of industry and human talent into bombs that shoot down other bombs.
Even the most just war of liberation is painful and regrettable, but you well know I'm not talking about that, we're watching first world countries sell weapons to feed endless war and just bombing targets like if it's a reflex act just what they do, the complete surrender of any hope of building a better world or coexisting and we're all treating this like it's just the natural state of things.
I'm sorry if I'm being dramatic but genuinely, get more anti war right now.
Warfare is not an inherent state of humanity, in any case, and it can and it will be abolished. I'm tired of people treating this like it's just the weather or nature. We know the material reasons behind war and they don't hold up and won't hold up forever.
Hello, my name is Nadin I’m from Gaza. I’m a graphic design graduate. I’m a wife. And now — I’m a mother.
I finished my design studies just before the war began.
I had dreams of starting a small design studio, of making art that told stories. I used to think about colors, fonts, sketches. I used to think about the future.
Then the war came.
And the future became something we tried to hold onto, moment by moment.
On October 22, 2023, I was pregnant when a missile destroyed my husband’s family home.
25 members of our family were killed — his mother, his siblings, his nieces and nephews, children. Entire branches of a family tree gone in seconds.
We were displaced twice after that.
Everything we had disappeared — home, safety, routine, rest.
A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter.
There was no crib. No stillness. No celebration.
But she came into the world quietly and beautifully.
And in her eyes, I saw something I hadn’t felt in weeks:
life that still wanted to grow.
Now, I spend my days holding her and trying to build a world around her that doesn’t shake with explosions.
We don’t know what comes next.
There is no clear path. We are walking toward the unknown, step by step — with our daughter in our arms and hope as our guide.
🧡 How You Can Help
This is why I’m asking for support. Not for comfort — but for survival.
To help care for one baby girl who entered the world after everything else collapsed.
My name is Nadin, and I’m a mother from Gaza.
If you can spare anything, it will help us:
Cover basic needs, so we can breathe and heal
Support a path toward even the smallest stability in a place that has none
My husband manages the donations securely through a U.S.-registered Stripe account.
Everything is converted to USDT and exchanged here in Gaza.
The rates are difficult — $100 becomes only 195 shekels (July 2025) — but we use every shekel carefully, with full transparency and documentation.
🎨 Sharing a Piece of Me
I want to share more than my need.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll begin posting some of my graphic designs from before the war.
They are pieces of who I was — and who I still am.
They may not be perfect, but they hold something real:
my story before the silence, and my belief that beauty can still live alongside survival.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you.
If you can give — thank you.
And if you can’t, just sharing this post is a form of support I will never forget.
Jesus fucking christ, I'd not let Reform be part of MY university society that doesn't mean that you should strip Bangor uni's funding this is actually insane.
