Oh my god people don’t know how hard it is to find LGBT+ groups and support in Wales, even in the south.

It’s really fucking bad. One of the ‘main’ LGBT+ therapy and community sites in Wales never got back to me, everything’s on Facebook or links are broken, most of the groups I’m finding aren’t in my age range, and most LGBT+ friendly therapists have a very tight schedule.

What happened to Yves Sakila in Dublin last Friday was nothing short of appalling. A Congolese man was murdered in public because he was suspected of shoplifting. If we live in a country that is willing to stand aside while people are killed on our streets for crimes as petty as shoplifting simply because of their race, how can we claim to be a nation that stands up against oppression? After centuries of brutality being inflicted on us by occupying forces, how are so many of us seemingly more than happy to stand and watch the same thing continue into the 21st century just because it's happening to someone from a different background? For a nation that claims to stand with the oppressed, we sure as hell need to start acting like it.

I was a very heavy Plaid supporter, but I’m a little bit fucking annoyed about how they’re currently treating issues like the environment. Also how they want to implement preemptive health measures, but those ‘preemptive measures’ seemingly majorly apply to the small young and abled population, and not our very large old and disabled population who are struggling right now. Like shit, if you want less strain on the NHS for preemptive measures, give more money to carers and physical therapists. I hope at least local community centres can thrive, because I know a lot of old folk try swimming to help keep their symptoms at bay.

I really do like their socially progressive policies, and I’m glad they got in over fascists and people who roll over and let the Welsh people suffer for 20+ years, but I can’t lie and say I’m not at least a little bit disappointed at how they’re not more left wing currently.

Shocks me to learn only very recently that not too far from Tryweryn (Frongoch), there was a prison camp where Irish Republicans were held without trial after Easter Rising.

That area has such upsetting history due to British rule, I don’t want us to forget it.

Every time the government talks about declining birth rates there never seems to be the realisation that if you make becoming a parent completely unaffordable then people will simply not have kids.

Shocking, I know. But do you know how fucking dire a situation has to be for people to simply not want to have children?

Not interested in ‘I don’t want to have kids anyway’ reblogs on this one, I’m obviously not talking about people who actively choose not to.

Peter Murrell found guilty of embezzling over £400,000 of SNP funds.

One of the things that the media are, quite deliberately, not highlighting is this is stealing from SNP members, and not the Scottish taxpayer.

It’s wrong either way, but definitely leaving something unsaid, and I guess we’ll see the embezzlement attributed to the party as a whole.
