one of my favorite amrev fandom jokes is just lafayette telling george washington that he’s cold. like. it’s just so inexplicably funny. everybody knows “i’m so fucking cold, george” and it’s so widespread but. the only possible origin i’ve been able to find is one of those hundreds of george washington portrait memes. and yet we see the joke everywhere. cold lafayette rides eternal.

My best friend had a horrible top surgery experience, and his surgeon doesn’t seem to care. He is raising money to get a second opinion and (hopefully) another surgery to fix what his first surgeon did. Anyone can look at these pictures and realize that is NOT right.

So even if you cannot donate, please reblog and share this. My best friend is entirely broken over this and is strongly fighting a deep depression because of it.

He deserves happiness, and was so close to finally reaching it before this happened. I want nothing more than for him to love himself when he sees himself, including with his shirt off.

According to OP:

The surgeon that did this is Dr. Herman Houin. He works for Henry Ford and this surgery took place at the Fairlane Dearborn location. Eli doesn’t get on tumblr that often, but message me if you guys have any questions/suggestions for anything. Thank you all SO much for the love and support. It means a lot to Eli and means a lot to me as well. Just seeing the love and support he is getting is significantly increasing his mood on a day to day basis, which has me so happy. So again, thank you all!

Always, always, always research doctors before getting top surgery. The trustworthy ones should have photo galleries of before-and-after results as examples of their work. I wasn’t able to find any other top surgeries by this Dr. Houin - it’s possible this was an incompetent accident or even transphobic malpractice, but it’s also possible that Houin’s experience is only in cancer-related mastectomies (where as much skin/tissue is preserved as possible) and breast lifts rather than masculinizing surgery. I’ve seen a lot of top surgery disasters and I’m afraid that as masculinizing mastectomies become more sought after/accessible/whateve, surgeons will start offering them without real experience. I hope Eli can get corrective surgery for this, I’d be furious.
