It really is wild how after an event of traumatic abuse the abusers just go on about their day in a good mood, like nothing even happened, they’ll even joke about it and laugh about ‘how dramatic you were’ to get that extra vibe that whatever took place was just some funny incident that you took too seriously.

Meanwhile you, after the same event, spend hours dissociated, numb, crying, guilty, ashamed, humiliated, wondering if you’re going insane, wondering if everything was your fault, and you’re never okay about it again.
