This post is a little different today. I wanted to show you something that makes me happy and makes bad days a little better. This is a small part of my wax melt collection. It only consists of my favorite brand. I have scents for every mood I’m in, if I am cleaning I melt gain aloha, reading I melt a coffee scent, if it’s raining or dreary out I like to melt a baking scent, if sunny and nice out I enjoy a fruity scent. Sorry for rambling, my point is that these are the most amazing wax melts/tarts/candles** I’ve ever used. They’re homemade and affordable!!! And the shower steamers are great for allergy season! I bought all of these from Mama Bear’s Soy Wax Melts & Candles. Something I’ve been working on is getting comfortable with taking selfies using the different tools on my camera. So today’s workout didn’t go as planned. ⠀ My asthma was acting up and it was a cardio day 🙄 ⠀ Instead of giving up and saying I wasn’t going to workout at all I did tomorrow’s workout which was yoga. I don’t know about y’all but I’ve had a good few days with Caspa. (Swipe to see him!) I’ve been using my time during this quarantine to work on myself and become the best version of me possible. ⠀ What have I been doing to accomplish this? ⠀ 1) I listen to personal development podcasts everyday and I write in my gratitude journal. I write at least five things I’m grateful for and a list of positive affirmations that I repeat to myself throughout the day. ⠀ 2) I hit my workouts everyday. 30 minutes or less no gym required. Even if I don’t want to do it I do. ⠀ 3) My daily superfood shake. It helps to fill nutritional gaps. ⠀ 4) Drinking plenty of water. I drink water all day everyday. ⠀ 5) I’ve been watching Gordon Ramsey shows on Netflix. I got an awesome workout in yesterday, I’m really looking forward to my workout when I get home today! I overslept and didn’t get it done🤦‍♀️ but life happens and that’s okay. Transformation Tuesday? ⠀ The first picture was taken November 4, 2018. The second one was taken on February 8, 2020. ⠀ The difference in the two may not look like much to you but it’s huge to me. You see in the first photo I wanted everyone else’s approval, I wanted to fit in, I wanted them to like me for so many superficial reasons. This is where my journey began. ⠀ The second photo I’m really happy, I don’t care about everyone else opinions. I love my job and I don’t feel like I need anyone approval to be who I really am. But I never would have discovered this if I didn’t begin my fitness journey. ⠀ You see this journey has helped me to overcome so many obstacles including my lack of confidence and anxiety. I’m spending my evening preparing for this month. ⠀ I’m trying something different, I’m making a calendar that I can see constantly to set the days/times I workout, because having one in a book doesn’t work for me. ⠀ The hardest part of anything is finding what does and doesn’t work for you in my opinion so I’m hoping that giving this a shot will help me. ⠀ I love my workouts and helping other people start their journeys so I’m looking for any way possible to make it a more efficient process for me.
