this was my revelation. you” is me here specifically

gender is a construct . It was built . it could’ve been anything but it was built- specifically european/western - as this two-gender system (or even three gender system which is still very cramped) . you’re born into this binary. you’re expected to be a certain one upon being born based on your genital makeup . but you feel...wrong. and before ya know it, as you try to express these feelings, you’re treated wrong too. are you just...wrong? this IS all you know, all you’ve been... taught. but you don’t go along... you just don’t. you must be wrong. you begin to internalize some pretty nasty stuff. you get mean and distant. but then... you find out abt the term nonbinary and xenogenders. or as i like to think of it, The True and Full View of what Gender Is (xenogenders is shorter, however). you see all these ppl using genders and pronouns you’ve never heard of ever in ur life. of course, since you built a shell around yourself and feel wrong, you’re weird and averted at first. they... these don’t go with the binary you’re used to!! you call them “cringe” “genderspecial” “tucute”. but ..they seem so happy...so comfortable...you read their stories. woah. these guys... these guys were like you once? frustrated and sad but then they just... realized... GENDER IS A CONSTRUCT? woahhh woah woah woah you were NEVER taught this. you were taught that sex is gender and gender is just two and you just look a certain way, use certain pronouns ... wait this makes sense . Wait IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! YES!! PRONOUNS ARE JUST NOISES TO MEAN REFERRAL, and IF PEOPLE CAN BE HAPPY AND SECURE AS A DIFFERENT GENDER THAN THEIR ASSIGNED ONE.. then BODIES don’t equal gender either !! and you don’t need to look a certain way to be a gender since like... gender and sex are TOTALLY DIFFERENT! GENDER WAS BUILT!! GENDER IS A SOCIETAL THING THAT WAS BUILT BY HUMANS AND DOESNT EQUAL SEX AND PEOPLE HAVE ALL SORTS OF wait .. then this means... YES!! if gender is just a construct... I CAN MAKE MY OWN AND DISAGREE!! what the fuck!! gender is INFINITE ACTUALLY!! people dreaming up new genders to make them happy and comfortable, to define their unique experience with gender ... this is . fucking AWESOME! they are freeing themself from society’s two-toned chains!! they have found their true rainbow!! and i..i feel so much happier and nicer now.. havinf realized the true meaning of trans and gender...being nonbinary sparklegender wifegender puppygender .. and this harms NO ONE because gender is INFINITE and NOT PHYSICAL and i’m HAPPY!! i’ve combatted so much interlaized not only transphobia and NBphobia but also racism (cuz 2 gender system is very western) and ableism too...

xenogenders are awesome. Do not exclude such powerful awesomeness from your NB activism/pride and think about them this nb day of visibility. cherish them.

Okay someone has to admit at some point that merely FOLLOWING someone on Instagram is not equivalent to agreeing to their political views. There’s a lot of other evidence I’ve seen about Chris Pratt, and honestly that isn’t the point I’m trying to make. But there’s a LOT of different reasons why someone would follow an account (they want to know what someone is saying, their account is really old and they’re not constantly scrubbing themselves clean of irrelevant follows, they don’t find it harmful to simply follow someone and would like to be up to date with them) that doesn’t involve agreeing with everything they say. It makes no sense at all to say that just because someone follows someone else we can now confirm their private political views.

It’s important to understand, the Satanic Temple is an activist group.

They don’t worship Satan - they don’t actually believe in Satan. They call themselves Satanists because Satan is the antagonist in Christian theology.

They are actively trying to promote the separation of church and state, and prevent the US from becoming a theocracy. And their method is genius: they’re fighting religion with religion.

Essentially, they go up against religious-based legislation by petitioning for their own religion to also be represented, since separation of church and state means all religions must be equally represented by the government, or none are. If only one is, then it’s getting special privileges and that’s not allowed.

For real, I think there’s multiple places where town councils used to have some local religious leader open their public meetings with a prayer, until the local Satanic Temple volunteered. They generally sue when turned down, and then when the court tells the town you let the satanists pray or you stop having prayers at government meetings… they stop having prayers at government meetings.

And I have to say, as a Christian who doesn’t want the church within ten city blocks of the government, I admire their activism.

On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, Texas’s new law, S.B. 8, went into effect. This law effectively bans abortion in the state AND asks private citizens to act as bounty hunters to “enforce” the law.

Then, in the dead of the night, the Supreme Court turned its back on 50 years of precedent, rendering Roe v. Wade effectively meaningless in Texas. The Supreme Court allowed Texas’s unconstitutional six week abortion ban to go into effect. Six weeks is before many people know that they’re pregnant.

This is an attack on human rights and Texas law sets a dangerous legal precedent and could clear a path for states to override people’s constitutional rights. If the courts let this bill stand we can expect to see similar bills introduced in states across the country.

Abortion is health care. Yet politicians are consistently attacking access to that care (even during a pandemic).
