“This is no mere Ranger. He is Aragorn, son of Arathorn. You owe him your allegiance.” “Aragorn? This is Isildur’s heir?”
Aragorn (Viggo Mortesen) and Boromir (Sean Bean) in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) dir. Peter Jackson
Possible dramatic foreshadowing #243: somewhere along the reminding season 7, the Doctor may lose his sonic screwdriver. Which shouldn’t be such a big thing to actually require dramatic foreshadowing, since it happened before, but it’s the Moffat thing to do.
Then Aragorn took the crown and held it up and said:
‘Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien. Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn’ Ambar-metta!’
And those were the words that Elendil spoke when he came up out of the Sea on the wings of the wind: ‘Out of the Great Sea to Middle-earth I am come. In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.’
You think I’m a good man? (8.04) // Oblivion is the best I could hope for. (8.06)
