April is the Cruelest Month Whump Event 2026!

Back again for AitCM 2026! We are so glad to have you!

What a great time to whump our favorite characters and OCs!

Just a little refresher on the Event rules:

AitCM is an event that to complete you only need to write, draw, make a podfic, or just create in general for fifteen of the days (Any fifteen you want!) The other fifteen can be recs! (Fics, art, books, etc. Any piece of media that matches one of the daily prompts.)

This can make it so much easier to fit into your everyday schedule! And can promote our favorite creators!

But maybe you would rather write, draw, or create some other form of media for all the days. That is another way to complete the event and is totally welcome!

As for the writing minimum and maximum… Our minimum is 100 words. Please do your best to reach this, but if that is too daunting remember that this event is meant to be fun, so please enjoy yourselves. And there is no maximum. Write to your heart’s content!

Hurt Mok, Dramatic Rome. (Finished!)

Woohooo It’s finished!!!! I’m actually really happy with how it turned out haha. You can read it here, if you want to! :) And after all that torture, let me give you something sweet and cute as the final snippet that I wrote!

“Like Alof being my right-hand man. And you being my left,” he stated, as if it was such an obvious statement to make. Rome grinned as he pulled Mok’s hand back towards his heart. His heart, which was beating fast, was beating for Mok. “Besides, being my left-hand man means you’re closer to my heart. Which has been yours for years anyway.” “Rome-“ “I mean it!” “I know,” Mok chuckled, and it sounded like music to his ears. “Would you please move closer? I can’t bend forward right now.” Rome’s heart stopped for a second. His grin dropped, and he could only stare for a moment. Was Mok actually implying what he thought he was? When his reaction wasn’t quick enough, he could feel a pull on his hand. Yes, yes, it was exactly what he thought it was. He leaned with his free hand on the bed, next to Mok’s face, as he moved his body closer. This was happening. This was truly happening. His heart was ready to jump out of his chest as he moved closer. His gaze moved from Mok’s eyes, to his lips and back. Those lips he finally got to claim as his.

“So, I’ve had this brilliant idea, Mok.” A loud voice came from the entrance of the room, followed by the door hitting the wall. Rome cursed, loudly, as he dropped his head carefully against Mok’s shoulder. A shoulder that was very obviously shaking. “I am going to murder him.” “No, you will not. Murder isn’t always the answer.” “True. Murder is the question, yes is the answer!” “Rome, behave,” Mok’s voice sounded light, and a chuckle could be heard. At least one of them saw the fun in it. Rome, on the other hand, was counting backwards from a hundred, in an attempt to find patience somewhere. “Oh! Am I interrupting something?” “Yes!” “It’s fine, Khun Thee,” Mok replied, and Rome just yelled against Mok’s shirt, muffling most of it. “Yes, yes, you are interrupting something, Khun Thee.” That voice belonged to Peach. With a groan, Rome lifted his head and looked behind him. His brother had halted mid-step, his confusion slowly morphing into a grin. Behind him was Peach, quickly catching up to Kian and reached for his hand. That seemed to work effectively. As Kian looked down surprised. “We’ll drop by later, Mok!” Peach called out as he was dragging Kian out of the room, to Rome’s relief. “Don’t do any straining activities! Both of you!” “Oh, they fit together way too well,” Rome groaned as he let his head carefully drop onto Mok’s shoulder again. He liked it there. “Yeah, they do,” Mok chuckled, and Rome could feel his shoulder move again. He couldn’t help but smile as well. If this was going to be their new normal.. Then he couldn’t complain. He would get his revenge. But it was a comfortable reality to be in.

Rome took in a deep breath as he was trying to gather his nerves. He’d been so, so close to kissing Mok. Hell did he want to. He just.. Needed to gather his courage again. Mwa Quickly, he pushed himself away from Mok’s shoulder. The spot on his temple felt warm. He wanted to reach for it, as if he could feel the kiss still there, but didn’t have a hand available. Instead, he turned towards Mok, eyes wide in surprise. “As long as we’re here, we might as well get used to Khun Thee barging in,” Mok chuckled, and Rome groaned. “The moment you’re better, we’re going home. We can always visit again. But right now I am not in the mood to share.” “Going home?” “Yes. Yeah,” Rome replied, voice growing soft as he smiled at Mok. A smile that was mirrored. “I mean. You are coming with me, right? Only that would make it home.” “I would love that, yes.” Rome’s smile grew into a broad grin. The butterflies in his stomach were going crazy, and his heart was pounding out of his chest. Happy. He felt happy. This time, without hesitation, he moved to capture Mok’s lips. Rome let out a sigh of relief when their lips finally met. Finally. He managed to win over what his heart desired most. An explosion of emotions ran through him. Joy, hunger, relief. It was almost difficult to identify them all. He chose to ignore it. To only focus on the pair of lips against his own. A bit dry and chapped, but real. So real and slowly moving against his own. One thing was clear. He’d found his home.

When Mok noticed something was off. Mok had to step in and perform his job as a bodyguard. Rome, Thee and Peach had to deal with the consequences of that, including some heartfelt realisations.

There it was. The glistering of something reflective in the bushes. The confirmation he needed. “GET DOWN!” he ordered, closing the gap between him and his boss with a few big steps. His left arm reached out and grabbed Khun Thee, anywhere he could get a hold, and pulled Thee behind him. Mok’s whole body turned towards the bushes, shielding the man as his right hand reached for his gun. BANG

Hurt Mok, Dramatic Rome.

“T-minus 5 minutes,” Alof said from the drivers seat. Rome only made a sound in acknowledgement. 5 minutes. That’s how long he had to pull himself together. Something he desperately needed to do. Their plan had worked. Most of the black spider members were gathered at Seng’s mansion. If his head had been in the game, Rome would’ve laughed. His staff had done an amazing job. Even made a whole agenda with points they needed to go through. First point was the failed attempt at the Arseni family. And they actually gone along with it, as if they themselves at planned it. Instead, Peach’s words had been on repeat in his mind. Had he? Had he ever told Mok that he liked having him around? That he felt at ease knowing that Mok was taking care of things? How his heart skipped a beat when everything was perfectly tailored to his liking? How desperate he was to have Mok at his side? How much Rome loved him? He always thought it had been obvious. But what if it hadn’t? Was it enough for Mok to reject his offering? Or was his want to look after Kian part of it too? But he’d been so obvious, hadn’t he? Maybe not saying it literately. He’d always complimented how Mok knew him so well. How Rome wanted Mok to spend his birthday together. That he was part of this family, and would never lack anything. ‘It might’ve been implied but sometimes it’s nice to actually hear it.’ Those had been Peach’s words. Out of the two of them, Peach was indeed dating someone. Hell, the man had managed to make his brother a soft, smiling idiot. He had to know what he was talking about. Could he do it though? What if he told Mok that he loved him? What was the worse that could happen?

“T-minus 2 minutes Sir.” Rome cursed and pressed the palm of his hands hard against his eyes. He needed to focus, or he wouldn’t have a chance to talk to Mok ever again. This needed to go well. “Is everyone inside the gathering room?” he asked as he forced himself to focus on the task at hand. “All but two. One is walking around the house as security, the other is preparing the food.” “Send in Thup and Pai first to clear the house.” “Affirmative.” “Everyone confirmed to have their gear? I expect to finish this without taking a hit,” he all but demanded. Their plan was solid, he wasn’t going to loose anyone on his team. Mok being hit was the first and last person injured on his watch. “Yes sir,” Alof replied and Rome could see the man nod from his position. Even though Rome wished, longed for another presence here as well, it was good to have Alof here too. Maybe, one day, he could have a right and left hand man. That sounded like a wonderful future. “Though I will request for you to stay back, Sir,” Alof said, actually looking into the rear view mirror at Rome. Who couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. “Not stay outside, but stay back. Let us do most of the work. Once everyone is down, you’re free to take your revenge. But both Khun Thee and Khun Mok will have my head if anything happens to you.” Rome groaned and let his head drop against the back of the car seat. With both of them being less worried and more aware, his movements hadn’t gone unnoticed. His heart skipped a beat with the realisation that people cared for him, worried about him. Even if it meant he couldn’t go full out like he wanted to. It was annoying, yet pleasant. “Fine, fine,” he whined, actually whined not caring about his image. Alof had already seen him at his worse the last two weeks. Besides, he felt like it. “I’m wearing the bullet proof suit. I had a feeling I would be scolded otherwise.” “A smart choice young master.”

Kings Redemption Arc

The smell of flowers was what hit him first. They were either fresh or crushed, to make them smell this strong. A small bell was could be heard, a trumpet like sound followed. It was strange, though King tried his best not to judge. An open minded approach would help him the most. As he continued climbing the stairs, a strange scene came into view. Bowls with yellow petals were placed in a wide circle, with one accompanied by a person who rang the bell. People were walking in a smaller circle, throwing petals towards the centre. With Atikun, their splashing water. In the centre was a big tub, filled with water and petals. And someone, dressed in white was kneeling in it. King halted at the top of the stairs. The only person he recognised was Atikun, performing the ritual. Any of the other dozen or so people could be Pai. He clearly needed to wait for the ritual to be over. Just when it seemed the ritual was done Atikun walked away to retrieve something. A bowl, with liquid in it. King wasn’t sure why, but an uncomfortable shiver ran down his spine. It felt. Wrong. Somehow. He couldn’t put his finger on what exactly it was. But he had the urge to rush forward and stop it. Without realising he’d taken a few steps forward. His heart was pounding in his ears, but he remained steadfast. Years of training kicking in as he made his way through the people, who looked at him in confusion. As he moved closer he realised another thing. He knew the person in white. Shit. What the hell was Darin doing? He should’ve been extremely suspicious of this place, given that he was part of the investigation! King understood that getting the statue was terrifying. But going to the one place that might be involved seemed mad. “I think that’s enough,” he said, voice steady and with authority. Without hesitation he reached out and grabbed Atikun’s wrist. He made sure none of the liquid touched Darin, who finally looked up. Darin looked out of it, as if a sort daze had fallen over him. “The ritual isn’t complete,” Atikun countered, but King refused to let go of the man’s wrist. They weren’t going to go through with it. Screw the ritual, screw the superstition. None of his team should eat or drink anything from this place. Especially someone who was already targeted. “That’s fine, I’ll personally make sure my friend is alright,” King countered as he pushed Atikun away. It seemed as if the man understood he wasn’t going to win and backed off. The smile he got send a shiver down his spine. He despised this place. “Come on. Let’s get you home,” said King, as he looped an arm around Darin, hoisting him upwards. “King?” “Yes, yes just me. Come on, let’s go,” he mumbled as, with his help, Darin got out of the tub. It was a strange sight. Almost as if in a daze Darin moved towards his shoes and put them on. King knew he was hovering, but the behaviour was so unusual. Yet he didn’t dare to say too much, with all the glares send his way. “Come,” he mumbled. He grabbed Darin’s arm and carefully pulled him towards the stairs, out of sight.

“One day,” he whispered back. The words barely left his mouth or it was attacked. Rome pushed upwards with a force, Mok felt the rush of it. The need that burned and send shivers down his spine. He could feel one hand on the back of his neck, fingers digging into his skin. Pulling him closer, as if he was able to get any closer. It was with effort that he got his hands to move again. This time reaching Rome’s belt and opening it, opening his pants and shoving his hand in. He caught the moans with his kiss and reacted to the bulking hips by grinding his own down. To his disappointment, and proof that his brain barely functioned, against his own hand that was between them now. Not that he had much room to move. His hand was trapped between their bodies. He tried his best to rub his palm against Rome’s length, given the heated response it was doing something. “Take it off. Now.” Those were orders, coming from Rome as the man pulled on Mok’s pants. Mok couldn’t help but grin a bit slyly as he pulled away. “Yes sir,” he replied as he got up from Rome’s lap. His shoes were kicked off and disappeared somewhere. Though he took a bit longer with his pants. He unbuckled his belt, unbuttoned and unzipped his pants and let them drop to the floor. Thumbs in the band of his underpants, which were obvious tented with arousal, he looked up at Rome. Rome. Who was staring at him as if he hadn’t eaten in weeks. Lube, manifested from somewhere, in a tight grip in his hand. Pants already down, cock heavily leaking against his abs. Mok was pretty sure his gaze fought Rome’s for hunger.

The silence stretched on longer than Rome was comfortable with. He stared at his hands, white and tightly gripping the side of the bed. The only sound that could be heart was Mok’s steady heartbeat on the monitor. Though he could’ve sworn he heard his own heartbeat as well, pounding in his ear. It was erratic. He hated it. Was this why he wasn’t good enough? Not calm enough in every situation that could be thrown at him? As soon to be head of the family? Was this why Mok preferred Kian? Calm, focused, if a bit eccentric Kian? “I am still heavily medicated,” Mok’s voice broke through his downward spiral. Rome looked up and felt his stance relax. Shoulders slumped a bit, breath evening out. Mok looked relaxed, as far as someone in his position could. “So the gunshot wounds do not bother me, for now.” “You should not have any lasting damage from them,” Rome managed to reply. A lot of effort went in to making his voice sound even, calm. He held his head high, truly with a bit of pride. While they had failed to protect Mok, the staff had been insanely quick with their operation. “But rehabilitation is needed.” “Yes. I expected as much,” Mok said, his reply calm, levelled. As a good employee was expected to. It felt wrong. This wasn’t the way they communicated. Rome was supposed to tease, annoy, demand. And Mok would roll his eyes adorably at him, yet give in anyway. Not.. This.. Whatever this was. Was it because of what happened? Or did he just lack sleep to be able to tease? “Luckily I can do most of my other duties during rehabilitat-“ “Oh for fucks sake!” Rome let out as he pushed himself off from the bed. He had to walk away. He had to walk away or he would say something to Mok he most surely would regret. He gave Mok one last glance as he stormed off. The sad look on Mok’s face engraved in a deep scar on his heart.

Kings Redemption Arc

Hmm still a bit hesitant about part of what I’ve written. Like for king’s redemption it makes sense to split up, in a positive way. On the other hand, it’s a pretty stupid thing to do with a killer on the loose.. On the other other hand, King really isn’t the brightest bulb of the bunch haha.

“It looks busy,” Mek pointed out as the two of them walked onto the Santi Tham house property. King looked around and couldn’t help but agree. Not only were there several people busy at the canteen, something was happening at the temple as well. He’d grown up never really going to a temple. His father calling it a waste of time, it was his own hard work that should get him there. Not praying someone else would do it instead. It was clearly to his disadvantage now. Though, if he had to be honest, from everything that his father failed to teach him, it was rather low on the list. “Is this a normal time for a gathering?” he wondered out loud, deciding that he didn’t mind that Mek knew how limited his knowledge was. He let out a deep sigh as his eyes continued to gaze over the people present. It was going to be quite the challenge to find Pai and Nana, with how many disciples there were. “Eeh, I don’t think so?” Mek framed it as a question and King looked at him. The other glanced at his watch before rubbing the back of his neck. Well at least he wasn’t alone in not knowing. Which was… Well not that great. “How about this. You go ask in the canteen if they know who Pai and Nana are. Then I’ll go up there and see what’s going on, maybe even question a few people if I’m not interrupting something,” he suggested nodding towards the people walking around above them, strings and flowers visible. “Is splitting up a good idea though?” “Good question,” he couldn’t help but agree. “Though on the other hand, I’m not sure how much time we got before people will leave again. And I would think that kidnapping or hurting two on duty officers would put them all in a very, very bad light.” Their colourful surrounding, relaxing music and people calmly chatting with each other was definitely giving them the wrong impression. This place seemed safe, if it weren’t for the fact that all their clues let here. Which was exactly why it was so dangerous. “Fifteen minutes. No matter if you find anything or not. Fifteen minutes and we meet back here. If the other isn’t here, call. If they don’t reply, we’re raising every alarm at the station,” he ended up suggesting. It wasn’t perfect but they would be fine. There truly were too many witnesses. From the corner of his eyes he saw Mek nod and taking out his phone. “I’ll set an alarm. And I just send my location to Khem, just in case.” “Let me do the same.”

There was a strange calmness that fell over him. He wasn’t sure whether it was from having an active role again, or from the place he was at. The soft humming, the relaxed atmosphere. It was that, with his line of work, he knew looks could be deceiving. But at times that was very difficult to believe. “Excuse me?” he halted in front of two robes people, obvious disciples. “I’m inspector King. I’m looking for two disciples names Pai and Nana? They’re not in trouble, just some follow up questions.”

It was difficult to move his hands over Rome’s body. They were pressed so close, as if they were trying to become one. But he was determined. He wouldn’t let Rome do all the teasing and only rile him up. He pushed his hand down until he reached the waistband of Rome’s pants. Then he pushed even further. But his fingers curled away just before reaching their destination. Only running through his public hair before dragging his hand back up, slow, teasingly slow. Rome’s reaction was instant. A groan, hips trusting upwards to chase his hand, which was fruitless. Rome’s hands moving to Mok’s ass, pressing him close. Not that he could move any closer. But Mok wasn’t going to complain to having those strong hands groping his ass. A repeat of his actions resulted in his nipple being attacked. It send a tingling down Mok’s spine, the heat building. His own hands were getting impatient, wanting more skin to touch. No, he was getting impatient. And while he loved it when Rome was in control, that didn’t mean he couldn- “Fuck Mok,” Rome moaned and before Mok could even react to it, his shirt and vest were gone. Hands were unbuckling his belt. Mok chuckled, glad it wasn’t just him getting impatient. “One day, soon, I’ll take my time. Tie you up on my bed. Keep you there for a whole week. Explore every inch of you - fuck.”

It sounded like an impossible fantasy. They didn’t have that much time together. Hell, he wouldn’t even be let into the Lee estate, unless it was as a prisoner. But he loved the sound of it. He could fantasise, play it out in his wildest dreams. His hands were impatient as he started to pull on Rome’s shirt. Eventually he managed to get it off and toss it who cared where. Mok was caught off guard when he looked down, ready to reach for Rome’s belt as well. Eyes staring up at him, mouth parted. Full with lust and something else he didn’t dare to look into. He leaned down and kissed Rome. Open mouth, mostly breathing into each other. Tongue reaching out, searching.

They arrived at the postal office not much later. It was relatively small, which could be a pro and a con. Pro because not all too much happened, so people might remember these strange packages. Or a con, if the records weren’t automated and errors could slip in. “Good afternoon,” King greeted as he walked in. The small desk with a lady behind it, letter and packages very neatly sorted behind her. “Good afternoon gentleman,” the lady greeted them in a kind, soft spoken tone. “Inspector King, Captain Mek. We would like to ask you a few questions.” He continued as he showed his badge, assuming Mek was doing the same behind him. “A few packages have been delivered, of which we have the addresses. They went through here. We would like some information about when they came in, when they were send, and any details you have regarding the person who dropped it off.” “Hm, let me see what I can do,” she replied with a small nod. King handed over the addresses of Darin, Lieutenant Ice and Warit, the gambling addict that they’d found in the fridge. The lady took the note and got up from her seat. He noticed that she wasn’t that much taller standing than seated.

“He needs seven people for the ritual, right?” Mek’s voice came from beside him. King nodded, eyes roaming over the packages. He knew what they looked like. Unfortunately they were so uninspired, in that sea of packages, they wouldn’t stand out. “We know of three,” Mek continued. For some reason it was strangely comforting. Having Mek there voicing his theories out loud. It made him focus, rethink, rework pieces of evidence in his mind. “Would he only go after someone who got such a statue? Is it the only way the ritual will work?” “Huh,” he couldn’t help but to huff as he turn slightly. Eyebrows raised ever so slightly as he let that thought sit in his mind for a second. “That’s actually a good point. Is it for the ritual itself? Is it for his own believes? Does it have something to do with the ghost and being haunted?” “Did we- I can’t remember for certain. But did we find one of those statues with every single victim the last time? All seven of them?” King voiced. He knew that there were several found, Mek almost drowned because of it. “I think so? Not a hundred percent certain though. Let me look that up once we get back,” “Great, thanks.”

“I think I’ve found something for you guys,” the lady came shuffling back. They’d been patiently waiting. King in deep thought. Yet the silence wasn’t pressing or uncomfortable. Besides, he felt useful, as if they were getting someone. “Three packages were send a week ago. Two of those went to the addresses you gave me. Two were send two days ago, one to the address you gave me. I wrote down the other two addresses for you,” she said, handing King a note. The handwriting was small and elegant, yet surprisingly readable. “They were brought here by different people.” “Did you recognise either of them?” Mek asked as King pocketed the note. “I recognise both of them, actually. They’re both disciples at the Santi Tham House, Pai and Nana.” “Really?” said Mek and King couldn’t help but to share that surprised reaction. So it hadn’t been Khuean that brought the packages. But it hadn’t been him the first time either. Were Pai and Nana involved? Or unknowing participants? Was Khuean? He frowned and bit on the inside of his cheek. The web was only growing bigger by the moment. “Thank you for the help and information,” King said, finishing their conversation. “If you remember anything, or if any similar packages are being send, please let us know.”

Feather light kisses followed caressing fingers as Mok’s dress shirt was unbuttoned. He leaned back, eyes focused on Rome. Rome, who was completely engulfed in his task. As if he had the most delicious meal in front of him that he was going to savour. A shiver ran down his spine. It was intoxicated. To be so treasured, admired. Rome pulled his shirt further open, lips attacking his left nipple. Mok couldn’t hold his hands to himself anymore. He ran one hand through Rome’s hair, tangling his fingers into thick strands of hair. Pushing Rome close, desperate for more. He used his other hand to open a few of Rome’s buttons. Enough for his hand to slide in, softly scraping over the flawless skin underneath it. “Rome-“ he moaned softly. He knew exactly what effect those words had on the other. Rome’s full body reacting to it, arching to get closer. Not like he was unaffected himself.

Hurt Mok, Dramatic Rome.

Oh snap, this chapter is getting so long haha. Though, tbqh I am very happy with where it’s going! So I do hope I’ll be able to finish it this week! “Well, Rome,” Mok said and Rome could swear he died and left for heaven. Mok called him by his name. Would he continue to do that? Or would he stop the second he was off the heavy medication? Rome didn’t care. He would cherishes this moment for the rest of his live.

“Are you alright?” “Am I alright?” Rome couldn’t help but repeat the question in shock. Was Mok, the man who just been shot and in a coma for days, worried about him? He couldn’t have heard that correctly, right? “Yeah. You look like you haven’t slept in days, Sir. Are you alright?” Mok continued to question him. Questioning him! He wasn’t the one who got shot! He was fine! Well, relatively speaking, fine! Rome couldn’t help the scoff that left his mouth, only reign it in when Mok didn’t seem fond of it. “Mok. For fuck’s sake, Mok. You’ve got shot. Multiple times!” Rome couldn’t help but squeal. It was an insane question. He knew he didn’t look his best. But why was Mok worried about how he looked? About his well being? When Mok was the one lying in a bed right now? “How could you be asking about I’m doing?” “I’m fine though,” “No, you’re not.” “But I am!” “NO!” Rome yelled as a response before realising what he was doing. He let his armed reach forward and lean heavily on the side of Mok’s bed. His head was down, his eyes squeezed shut. It was so, so difficult to keep a hold on himself. Especially when Mok was waving away his own well being. When Mok’s well being was the highest priority for Rome. “Mok, Please. You got shot multiple times and been in a coma for several days. The last person you need to worry about is me,” he couldn’t help but state. “Besides. I promise you. I will promise you, take an oath if you prefer, that the person and the family that hurt you? Their lifespan will be shortened significantly.” “Rome-“ It was beautiful to hear his name fall from Mok’s mouth. So perfect. “No- no Mok. Not this time. I promise- I. Just. I know that we failed, alright? The Arseni family failed to keep everyone safe. And I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry, that should’ve never happened! I promise you that I am figuring out who did it and will take care of it,” Rome said, taking in a gulp of breath before continuing. He needed to get this out. To make Mok listen. Make him believe Rome wasn’t that bad at his job. “I’m alright, just a bit tired. But none of that is important. How are you?”
