Drawing of cowboy with top surgery scars: Well, sheeeit pardner, I reckon you've gone through a lot here now what with yer lack of spoons today. Rest yer head upon me. You've been good. You deserve ta rest. You deserve ta drink water and eat food. Get yerself a lil treat, you gonna be okay.

taking off a mask to reveal what lies beneath as a romantic gesture is overdone, and besides i want to see the romantic or even platonic potential of protecting someone's identity beneath the mask, without any expectation of ever being allowed to see what's under it. picking it up and holding it gently to their face when it's knocked off and they're in danger of being exposed, without trying to catch a glimpse of what they "really" look like under there. throwing yourself in front of them to hide them from view while they put themselves back together without taking advantage or looking back to see what you're protecting. learning to read them by body language, tone of voice, and behaviour so well that you never need to see their face to feel like you know and understand them.
and needless to say. the mask stays on during sex.
Nino: Trans Joy! Feral Magazine, Cape Town, 2024 by Steve Marais
“A raw, documentary-style interview and photo essay detailing the life of a black trans man in South Africa. The interview with Nino covers his entire journey: being kicked out of his home, experiencing homelessness, working on the docks, navigating the healthcare system for his transition, and becoming an accidental social media activist.” Ayanda Nino’s instagram

Do you believe there's a part of yourself that you don't show anybody? During a session, when I'm inside, I get to see those things. I feel them. THE CELL (2000) dir. Tarsem Singh cinematography by Paul Laufer

what's so appealing about hoods and masks and such is that. like. you're still completely recognizably human but the part of you that people see most has been obscured partially or completely. you become less and less individually recognizable the more your face is covered. you're not really a specific person anymore, you're sort of the concept of a person. a person-object, like a featureless mannequin. like the semiotic sign of a real person. do you get what i'm saying

"Announcing my new website, blood.video
My most intense work, all free, updated as often as I'm able to."
"Nothing on this website is illegal. Nothing on this website is unethical. Despite the fact that these videos and photos were created enthusiastically and consensually, I can't process transactions or make money from any media on this website using any standard online payment processing. The only way I can get other people's eyes on my work is to give it away for free. That's the state of the internet and credit card companies right now.
I take my art seriously. I take my collaborators seriously. We deserve a platform for our work. This is an imperfect attempt at filling that gap. It's better than nothing." x
Yet another new study debunked the basis for the anti-trans sports bans. It was never about sports but for creating legal avenues for exclusion and abjection. This is one of the largest analyses ever conducted, involving 52 studies and 6,485 trans people. Read the study here.
post so nice had to reblog it twice and force it down everyone's throats
At minimum about 4.5 thousand people liked this without reblogging it.
We gotta fix that.
