The bullshit keeps hitting so here is the update. Seller will seller-finance the home to me under a lease-to-purchase agreement if I can do a ten thousand dollar down deposit. I have 6.5k of it right now. I need 3.5k. I am supposed to be out by the 9th. We would be in SAFE housing then. That I own. This bullshit would never happen again. It would open so many doors for me: access to better food, to parks, to better healthcare, community. There are so many advantages to this home outside of housing security. The dogs could get easier access to going out places because everywhere wouldn't be such a drive. There are lovely walking trails, parks, etc. all under 30 minutes (and the huge walking trail? Like 5 mins!). I would have community: there's a local queer book club that does walks at a park; the naturalist group meets four minutes from the home; there's an art club. I would have access to Appalachian grants. Work would be under ten minutes away. I have a work from home opportunity waiting if I just had better internet, which this place has fiber. Mostly, I would have my own damn house, that I can put my stuff in as I wish, decorate as I wish, etc. I would have a working kitchen. I would have a living room I could actually use to, you know, live outside of a damn bedroom. It would be MINE. I can afford it once we get it. I've crunched the numbers multiple ways. Hey ya'll. I've been quiet here for a long while. Life had been decent! I started to work again, as well as received disability, got my student loans dropped, etc. Was working on getting to a place to apply for a mortgage again and of course, life starts kicking me while I'm down. https://gofund.me/20644314f To sum up: the home I fought to stay in years ago, started paying rent for, etc. was forced to be sold. The new owner now wants me out and *can* put me out now. I still have the dogs. I have SSDI and work income, qualified for a mortgage, but do not have close to the closing cost requirements to fully switch to that mortgage type. I found a home that would work for our situation and would be good for us and I could afford. It's just a matter of getting time (which I might get if the new owner sees I'm buying a house) and getting these dang closing costs covered. So just... hoping someone can help this disabled person out one more time and finally put me on the road to housing stability. I can cover the mortgage (have already did the budget, etc.) I just need help for this. Thanks!

Coming in with an update and a bump: Realtor thinks my lower offer on the (different) house I like is not unreasaonable (of course, doesn't mean the sellers will accept) but I will need to cover closings. This one would be around 3.2k. I will update the GoFundMe to reflect that when I get back from work, as well as the fact I got 235 externally. This home I love and would do well for us. It's the town over, which I did a huge pro/con list and it's a great move for us. It's honestly better than the original home in multiple ways, so this is the one I am shooting for now. Even a few dollars helps.

We go under contract on Monday barring any issues, which neither the seller, listing agent, or my realtor sees happening! The property is part of some sad circumstances that need confirmation from the bank, which will be requested today. It has no appliances, which I will need to get (especially fridge; I can do without a stove for a bit, but I need a fridge. I have medication that must remain cold, not to mention food), but my realtor told me about a Lowe's Outlet that is nearby where they sell things 70% off so gonna go check there. If all things go well, we close May 8th! Thank you so, so much for all the help. We're not in the clear entirely, so please share, but it looks like we may have a home! I'm nervous of the loan somehow failing even after preapproval (which it shouldn't) or the seller's bank being weird, so please keep us in your thoughts still!

First home had a lot of drama around it and fell through. We viewed another home today, I placed an offer, and seller accepted. We are now, OFFICIALLY, under contract! I send the earnest money tomorrow. Seller agreed to fix all the issues with the home that my lender requires. Money will still be extremely tight, but I'm working on it! Any little bit still helps and will go towards covering closing costs, moving costs, and getting us safely into this home. I'm still working to try to cover everything I can as well. It's not a dream home, but it's doable, it's livable, and I would have my damn dogs. Would need to fence it as soon as possible, but can do that as well eventually. It comes with a fridge and a stove, and they're newer! As well as a microwave. I am hoping this is good for us.
