i’ve been working nonstop and it’s hot outside. always saying I’m fine but it’s just a lie. all my sweat like tears dripping til it’s gone. i got 99 problems but the sea ain’t one. i’ma go out healing, getting cleansed by the sea breeze. i can’t let go of this feeling. can ya teach me how to live life fully?
hey, all!!! my name is leaf, and this is my new baby, seongho, but everyone calls him link! it’s been a long time since i’ve been in an rp and i am EXTREMELY excited to be a part of this one!!!!!!!!! there’s not much else to know about me, but, for seongho, he’s from san diego and wants to be come a general sea captain just like his dad! below the cut are some bullet points i’ve made about his character and life!

his dad is a general sea captain, currently captaining many yacht expeditions, but he used to sail cargo ships, cruise ships, and for a short while ferries as well.
his dad and mom had him when they were newly married, only 20 and 22, having been married for one year. seongho grew up on many ships due to his father’s work and the couple’s inability to separate from one another.
when he was of schooling age, he and his mother stayed on land so he could attend school. this was when his father began the smaller, easier ferry jobs so he could come home every night.
soon only in third grade, seongho had no desire for school. it came too easy to him and he was becoming more bored and easily irritated. it was recommended that he be homeschooled.
seongho’s father began captaining cruise ships and his family came with him on every trip. he captained for royal caribbean, carnival cruise, and the new disney ships when they were in port.
seongho was the perfect homeschooled student. he was disciplined, intelligent, and needed little teaching to learn, he only needed books and his own will.
he made friends often, but none ever stuck. it was impossible to keep a friendship for more than the time that the cruise was going for. once again, with no strong bonds, he was becoming more lonely and easily irritated.
he was brought to regular school. during late middle school, he was shellshocked. he had not been in a normal, public school in so long. it was far from the lavish studying he had done before. still, he adjusted with time, and settled into his new, sedentary life.
now, with his new schooling, he was too sedentary. he needed more adventure and excitement! for a while, with his dad’s request, he began working in ship yards to pass the time.
during his highschool years, he studied little, but aced often. he had nearly perfect grades in every mark possible from music to mathematics. when he should have been studying, he worked on repairing sailboats and helping to repair bigger boats like houseboats and yachts. eventually, in just those four years, his hands had touched every type of boat imaginable.
in senior year, his father put in a good word for him, and the royal caribbean and the disney cruise line both granted a scholarship to the young boy if he agreed to captain their ships, for royal caribbean, 10 years, and disney, for 15 years. of course, link agreed.
now, with perfect grades and two scholarships that could both singlehandedly get him through college, he has the world in front of him, but no one to share it with. he has everything in life but those good, permanent connections, and his early days left him with little social shields and swords.
now, onboard his college cruise ship (which he still hardly believes is a real opportunity), he is learning the hard way what good people, relationships, and life is meant to be.
