This is the same thing these silicon valley fucks want; their vision of the future where everyone has a unique biometric ID code implanted in their body is the ultimate extension of Netflix’s “no password sharing” policy. You want to use your friend’s car? Sorry, you can’t, you need to be an authorized user. Your mother wants to let you look something up on her OED account? Too bad! That’s only for her! The concept of perfect market efficiency gives them greedy little money bag eyes.

If I pay money to have a newspaper sent to my house, they don’t charge me extra when I show it to my dad. This password sharing thing isn’t just a Netflix problem; don’t be surprised if it shows up elsewhere in other forms. Stamp this idea out now or we’ll be stuck with it.

it’s actually quite easy to take over a small local government group if you really want to, bc if you volunteer consistently people will just put you in charge of whatever. I’m now one of like three people at a nature preserve making official decisions about trails, events, putting in a prairie, and designing a series of illustrations for a storybook trail etc., and it’s just because last summer I started coming over once a week to help the naturalist out for a couple hours. Mine now. you too can steal an organization and shape it to your will 🫵

Two of my friends and I have taken over the local guild that runs a large portion of charity events in our town. We’re changing bylaws and setting new policies and coordinating with other groups. All we did was volunteer, and they practically strongarmed us into accepting the president, vice president (me) and treasurer positions. VOLUNTEER, KIDS. LMAO shit gets crazy right before wizard graduation...everybody finishing up their final projects... okay you remember that girl Madrigal? yeah the one everybody made fun of when she took that job making an ultimate death machine for those guys with the weird hats because they said their wicked enemies would attack them any minute now, or some shit like that. everyone was like "they literally all say that, Mads." "their hats aren't even pointy, Mads." "you could just conjure gold, you don't need the money, Mads." and she was always like, uhh it's an interesting problem. for four years. lol. well — okay just picture this, okay? Madrigal finished the ultimate death machine and like, immediately (and I do mean immediately) used it on the guys who hired her. like — they showed up to take it and boom. erased from existence, no hesitation. but it didn't just vaporize the dudes, the weapon must cut through dimensions or something. it erased their entire bloodlines. everybody lost their fucking minds over how cool it was. why? yeah Maddie said that no one who wants this type of power should ever have it and she'll meet them in Hell one day for silencing a song of many voices. and then it kind of turned into a dorm party and she drank a ton of faerie mead and said, like. "let's see them flunk me now" or something and it kind of sounded like fuck but omg. right? better give her that diploma! and everyone was kind of laughing together until we could calm down, and then she just patted the weapon and we collapsed giggling all over again. hats went flying like darts. I think Mads is like the coolest girl I've ever met in my life, to be honest. do you think I have a shot? she made eye contact with me for a full minute and smiled at me the whole time but the party was too loud to talk. what if she thought we were having a staring contest? plausible? her hair is really pretty and she has long eyelashes and we WERE both freely blinking, but — huh? what does the weapon look like? a little toy bunny rabbit.
