This sure is a grim picture of Finn's mental health.
I mean, like… Farmworld Finn has got his fair share of Issues, like, a lot of them. On the surface he's the more obviously emotionally traumatized Finn... and this was somewhat reflected in the ricketiness of the boards of his brainspace, the way he is literally wallowing in his late wife's Hunter's Stew, literally wallowing in her memory…
But his brain still feels like a home, being designed after his house, and the soup might be his grief but it's also the warmth and comfort of a loved one's memory. And there is room in it for calm and relief, for appreciating that he is truly free of the Crown.
Mainworld Finn's head is nothing but gray concrete and Neutrality, all of the adventure and color and excitement are inherently obviously fictional.
A television and inside of it a stage play, so it's doubly fictional. Really drives home how much Finn has just been going through the motions, pretending to be the person he used to be, since Jake died.
