earlydays verstappen.com archiving was... a bit of a mess. including their titling. here are some of my favorite article headlines:
In 2026, the chicest thing a gay actor can do is never explicitly come out as gay but also make it abundantly clear that he is. Coming out is too modern. Staying closeted is too old fashioned. But this method merges contemporary freedom with Old Hollywood glamour and allure, and it weeds out the dumbest people who truly don’t get it. I call it the Pascal Method.
Taylor Swift does this
no she doesn’t
You clearly don't go here or to queer history and signaling, or both, enough to have this conversation and I'm not going to explain it to you. You could have asked questions, you could have done even a modicum of research. You didn't and you made yourself look ignorant. Goodbye.
cool animal meme dude hey just wondering why is that fennec fox in somebody's living room
"it's just a meme let people have fun" NO. you WILL learn about wildlife trafficking and its role in the exotic pet trade

Human-socialized.
so can we start hunting down white liberals now or what
The full picture is even more heart breaking after you open the uncropped version. Just a heads-up, it's rough
“The Roman Catholic Parish in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was just grafitted.”
Nah let’s post it. Let’s feel it. Don’t look away.
I notice alot of my followers on here skipping these posts just to mess with my lgbt ones, suspiciously the white popular ones.
Heres a not so friendly reminder, as an lgbt metis person, i dont give a single fuck what your blog is themed or if this is too painful for you to look at. Reblog this post. Reblog this post with the sources of the 751 children who were found.
Your compliance and silence as well as the compliance and silence of your ancestors is what allowed these schools to open and kill first nations children. The children of MY people.
Dont follow me if you cant reblog this post or the one with sources to your political blog or your most popular blog. Add trigger warnings if you must but if your political blog is only focused on the harms you personally face like being lgbt then you need to see some bigger pictures and stop being afraid of angering your racist mutural or actually saying some shit about racism. If you can reblog some antifa graphics or add blm to your bio to be a surface level ally, you can reblog some sources on the genocide first nations people faced and still face today.
They were CHILDREN.
They were murdered in cold blood.
I’d like to add this photo I took last night in Victoria of the statue of Captain Cook. Though I myself am not indigenous, I 100% agree that these murderers, kidnappers and rapists shouldn’t have huge statues and plaques that decorate them and say how “great” they were.
Here’s another photo of the legislative assembly from yesterday. Later on there were more items, candles and signs at the memorial, as well as a big poster with 1505 painted on it but I didn’t get a picture
People need to see this. Not just quickly glance at the photos and keep on scrolling. They need to see this.
Reblog this or just stop following me
I had seen the first picture of the church, but not the second.
I went to a “Cancel Canada Day” event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.
This is my country’s legacy - and it’s not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.
They were all children, injured, abused, and killed in my country’s attempt to erase them. I want the world to see this and hold the state accountable to *active* reconciliation> I mean we could at least truly adopt UNDRIP in action instead of words for god’s sake.
here you can read an article about a survivor of the church and some of the things he experienced to help put into perspective how awful and just how recent it was
this is the memorial at the vancouver art gallery. 215+ pairs of children’s shoes (as well as stuffed toys and flowers) cover the steps…
unironically said this the other day playing rivals

the thing about being bullied for being weird as a kid is that even if you've always embraced being weird your brain is still always looking for the line where it's too much. you can be as proudly and intentionally weird as you want and you can love being weird but your mind is still convinced there's a point where you get too weird and people start treating you like a weird looking bug again. also it feels like you reach that point 500 times a day even if everyone you've spoken to today found you pleasant and likable and even if you're completely alone in your house with nobody looking at you at all.
another thing about being bullied for being weird is that it tends to make you more weird in ways you understand less and that get you bullied worse because the only thing funnier than making fun of an autistic kid is making fun of a traumatized autistic kid
Life sucks but at least I don't have gambling debts
some hyper famous artists like Van Gogh transcend overratedness and become underrated because they're so normalized. Like I'll look at a van Gogh and I'm like wait this really is amazing you guys don't get it
Shakespeare is like this
Every time I see a Van Gogh that’s not one of his better known pieces it absolutely blows me away
Have you seen this shit my liege? smh unreal

I feel like she has a fundamental misunderstanding of multiple things here
I think most foreigners and most Americans don't even know that the U.S. Congress has complete control over native nations. Native nations, as formalized entities instead of informal affiliations of individuals, exist at the will of the conquerer. Conquest is the foundation of U.S.-Indigenous relations and that has never changed. Congress can and has completely obliterated native nations by mandating them out of existence through statute time and time again, removing whatever minor benefits the people got from being federally recognized (i.e., healthcare or services, to say nothing of the fact that these 'benefits' are miniscule compared to the panoply that you could picture the average American receives). And indigenous people in America are only citizens of the United States by statute. Any time it wants, Congress can just decide indigenous people in America are no longer allowed the benefits of United States citizenship. When other Americans get scared over birthright citizenship, they don't even know it's a privilege not extended to the people who were on the land first. Whatever "profits" that Native Americans get through resisting genocide are only as a result of continuously submitting to bullshit. So, it's really just offensive that people believe indigenous peoples here are "yankees," an identity marker belonging to the conqueror who continues its historical oppression over them day after day...
Indigenous genocide is an ongoing project, whether we're talking about denial of water rights, Trump's Interment camps, or MMIW2S. While we may be in the imperial core, you gotta recognize that America is a paternalistic parasite who exports the mechanisms of our genocide to other countries. Any benefits we get are 7-8 rungs down the ladders of personhood. We're in the imperial core because it's built off our blood and bodies. Also the person who posted this is from France. Shut the fuck up or I'll tag Africa in after talking about France's role in all this.
