Welcome to my blog! This is my main account mostly about the Batfam and some other DC characters: my favorites are Cass, Steph, Duke, Talia, Mae, and Bart. I’m open to most ships and especially love Stephcass, Brendacass, Lindamae, and PolyWAR. I occasionally refer to myself as we/us because of structural dissociation.

The Murderbot Diaries are a power fantasy about being aromantic and still developing extremely important dedicated emotionally intimate partnerships where you are a top priority in a person's life, equal to their other family or romantic attachments despite your own emotional difficulties. i was gonna respond to someone on a different post of mine but i decided not to start a fight today so i’m just gonna make a whole new post.
so, genuine question for some of you: do you think when dc is drawing damian to look like bruce 2.0 they’re doing it to accurately represent arab people who “look european”? especially when ra’s and talia (who are also chinese btw) are often not drawn the same way? do you think dc NEEDS more representation for light skinned, european looking people of color? do you think the fact that dc constantly dogs on the al ghuls and damian’s culture even in his fucking aapi celebration comic may have something to do with him being drawn to look like his “good” white father rather than his “bad” brown mother/grandfather? the argument that “some arab people look european” is not relevant here because damian wayne is not a real person. he is representative of the beliefs and the biases of the people who write and draw him. and as it stands right now a vast majority of dc creatives are firmly against the al ghuls and are, at the VERY least, culturally insensitive. some of you are missing the point so severely.
dick and bruce's relationship is everything though. they're father and son but also work besties but also the unbearable micromanaging boss and the assistant who knows too much to be fired but also if siblings could be bitterly divorced but also holding a marriage together for the sake of the kids but also haunting each other's narratives
i know i said i was getting rid of all of my clothes because im moving and wont have room for much but you must understand: these clothes were free, stained, and covered in bugs.
Kind of clothing study that was really an excuse to give Cass my outfit. Cass canonically going to mosh pits in early-mid 2000s New Jersey? She's listening to Thursday in my heart ❤ The song lyrics in the background are from "Steps Ascending" since the t-shirt has a lyric from it ("I'm not giving up"). She's definitely my favorite bat character I've read, and I already have plans for more involved illustrations based on some different songs...
