Give something to say to someone who says they have OCD just because they have basic hygiene and likes things clean. Someone who knows a lot about OCD give me some good scientific points to throw at them. I want something that’ll shut them up forever.

Note

1. They have never been to a doctor regarding this or diagnosed (I will tell them to at the end if they actually believe they have ocd after hearing the points, they should get it checked out, but I really don’t think they do, I think they just don’t know what ocd is)

2. They say this in situations like

“Ugh hold on I need to close my curtains my ocd is bothering me”🥴

“My table has to be clean otherwise my ocd will act up”

“If my pillow cover and sheets don’t match it “gives” me ocd” 🤭
