Pantera & Leun are siblings separated by time. Pantera was one of the first ever discovered, and certainly the first to be used in combat. It’s been in service for about 300 years. Although Leun was discovered shortly after Pantera, in the same sinkhole, its greater size and unusual attributes made it very difficult to armour him and get him running, so he wasn’t completed until Pantera had been in service for a couple of centuries. Leun is considered to be pinnacle of his kind, a living saint, and unmatched in prowess. The sliding construction of the thoracic compartment over the abdominal cavity freed him from having to sacrifice protection for flexibility, unlike the lightly-armoured Pantera with his open suspension system. Due to size & limb weight Leun is much slower.
