Doing this all in one continuous shot is nuts.
Thank GOD they brought the original Netflix team back for this because this just took me back to 2016 and the feeling of coming home, turning on Netflix and immersing myself in this universe.

LOIS LANE AND JIMMY OLSEN Superman (2025) dir James Gunn
STEVE ROGERS WILL RETURN IN AVENGERS DOOMSDAY
not an apologizer but a contextualizer. yes the character did that but please understand the Circumstance. yes they had other options but they had to make this choice in a sea of available bad choices. and also it made the narrative more interesting. won't anybody think about the narrative!!!!!
Me being team Cap but defending Tony in Civil War
🤞🏻 Please be about Bruce developing his playboy persona separate from Batman 🤞🏻 Please end with a shot of him at the circus 🤞🏻
I feel like they won’t go that way, but that’d be so cool if it did.
Superman (2025) | Adventures in the Making of Superman
No way I was just walking by the living room where my sister was watching Charlotte's Web, and I heard the score and thought to myself "That sounds like the Spider-Man score."
So I look it up and IT'S ALSO COMPOSED BY DANNT ELFMAN.
I'm such a nerd.
I'm so happy they've added Tombstone to Brand New Day. If I'm right about the direction they're taking Spidey, he needs a street-level villain.
I used to hate Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne/Batman and love Henry Cavill's Clark Kent/Superman.
Now, it's almost the opposite for me.
I love Batfleck, his version of Bruce especially is incredible. My only issue is that his Batman kills, but other than that, he's perfect.
Cavill's Superman on the other hand *sigh* sucks. Clark Kent isn't supposed to act like Superman wearing glasses. He's supposed to be a dork that sees the good in everyone. I know, I sound like a Corenswet fangirl now, but I felt this way before Superman (2025) came out.
I could explain this so much more thoroughly, but I'm tired.
I know Tom Holland hasn't even been confirmed for Doomsday yet, but I'm just saying 👀
the way Martha and Johnathan Kent in Superman 2025 are just two ordinary farmers from the midwest
they're older, they struggle with their phones, their home is run down and their farm humble, they're not Hollywood looking, they have accents and kind smiles
the way Clark calls them Ma and Pa
these two found Clark as a baby in a field, they looked past their fear and saw a baby that needed love and they gave him that love, they did everything they could for Clark
they gave him love
and the Clark we see? he's a reflection of them, of hope and love and what it means to be human
they dont have a lot of screen time but they left an impact that you feel through the film
they're not Kal-El's parents, but they are Clark Kent's parents
I was very skeptical when I first saw them, both in the trailer and the movie. With the way they talked and looked, I thought they were going to be there to be the typical "look how stupid these hicks are, they can't talk properly and they don't understand the Real World, aka, the Coastal Cities" punchline you get from Hollywood. But they were the heart and soul of the movie. They loved each other and they loved their son. Within 5 minutes of them being on screen, you understand exactly why this Superman always sees the best in humanity.
My one, single gripe with Superman (2025) is that Lex and Lois did not interact.
Like, can you imagine?
Lois Lane, the punk rock, pessimistic, semi-bitch herself.
And
Lex Luthor, the angry-crying, genius, God-tier hater himself.
Both witty af and want to bear Superman's son.
Look at how Lois treated Clark during their interview, can you imagine what she would do to Lex?
And then imagine how Lex would react to that.
That would be a fascinating juxtaposition of scenes. Because we love how Clark crashes out at being pressed but also understand how he gets angry because he cares.
Watching Lex be interviewed would pass blame, deny all over the place and then change stories so fast, or try to until Lois pins him down and then he’d just scream and cry.
