There's a lot of cool shit i would've missed out on had i let other Black people define my reality by listening to "Black people don't..."
Camping
Hiking
Scuba diving
Skydiving
Hunting
Bowhunting
I haven't gotten to mountain climbing or wildlife expert yet bit it's on the list.
But Black folks, city Black Folks especially have a timid, hive mind fear based mentality that is skittishness. They reinforce this with children by posing it as cultural when really it's teaching cowardice. Even with something as basic as swimming.
Black people juxtapose this against white people saying they're crazy and wild. But these same Black people don't get how the courage to get outside your comfort zone and take on high risk situations preparers you to take on the world and any challenge.
Every single "Black people don't" is a heart check and a skill. Skills give you competence lowers anxiety and makes you money. Skills that you learn in a group also teach positive socializing.
"Black people don't" has created a population of people that are slaves to the very system they say hates them. It's the most idiotic paradox.
Currently with the corona virus outbreak threatening to become a full fledged pandemic we are as close to a zombie scandal apocalypse situation as we're ever going to get. Black people don't know what type of protection to get and are woefully under prepared for an emergency city wide quarantine situation like Wuhan. How much fresh water do you have? Dependant on the system living in large cities. It's embarrassing to see how many Black people go crazy when the system says something like "we're cutting off food stamps or wic programs." Niggas go crazy on social media in the stores, on the news, straight wilin. But then it never occurs to niggas "man this a bad spot to be in, let me make sure that if something like this were to happen again, i don't get caught lackin, again."
Even if Black people got out to rural or wild settings, how many have the skills to survive in that environment?
The posturing the false bravado of Black people, the lack of foresight and humility is a bigger cause of death than anything else.
