It’s the fact we keep hearing “the blood is bad here” repeated like an eerie childhood rhyme and the fact it’s truly invoking horror elements such as Hitchcock’s The Birds when the children are singing the anxious “Ristle-Tee Rostle-Tee” or Stephen King’s Pet Semetary when Pascow bone-chillingly cautions “the ground is sour.”

It’s also the fact some of the visual images are reminiscent of something akin to Tod Browning’s Freaks or Dario Argento’s Suspiria and knowing what’s to come in the books…..we are so going full horror. 💀💀💀
