𖦹˚𓇼˚‧ Orca and Whale–especially Humpback Whale–are known to have deep hatred towards one another. Ironically i love them both, and i want to make a skin in reverence for those beautiful creatures where they seem to coexist with each other. Blue is my favorite color and i have been in love with ocean so i'm a little bewildered how i didn't make blue/sea theme skin until now lol! Easily this is my personal favorite skin out of all the others that i made.

Copy the code i provided in this GitHub, there is a copy button at the top right(•••) of the code box. And here if you prefer Google doc.

‌Sign to your AO3 account, after that go to "Dashboard".

‌On your "Dashboard", tap on a section called "Skins".

‌On the "Skins" page, tap on the button labelled "Create Site Skin".

‌Give your site skin a unique title, i usually use 2-4 word for the skins that i saved. IF YOUR SKIN NAME IS NOT UNIQUE, YOU CAN'T SAVE THE SKIN.

‌Paste the codes you copied from my GitHub into the "CSS" box.

‌When you're done, scroll to the bottom of the page and click a button labelled "Submit". This will save your site skin and take you to a new page where you can see the title of your skin as well as all of the code.

‌Click "My Site Skin" and you can see the skin are added, press "Use" to activate it.

If the Whale and Orca background image in the right border makes the texts unreadable to you when reading a fic, you can make it smaller by simply find this code ↓

not to be a lame boomer who isn't hip with the times or whatever but like. stop putting your fucking age/whether or not you're underage in your bio and stop fucking asking people "are you over 18?". i hate this INSANE idea that everyone without an age in their bio MUST be a child or some insane shit.

not that I think kids should be online in the first place, because look at what it fucking did to us!! none of us are okay!! but like yk what i think is even worse?? ACTIVELY ENCOURAGING A 13 YEAR OLD TO BE OPEN AND HONEST ABOUT THEIR AGE ONLINE INSTEAD OF GIVING AS LITTLE INFO AS POSSIBLE. if you think someone might be underaged but you're not sure because they don't have it listed, you need to realize that not only are you NOT owed that information, but that kid is making a good and safe choice and you are trying to FUCK THAT UP in your crusade to block Every Minor Ever

i dont know where this wave of "lol internet safety is for loserss" came from, but like. this is part of why i dont even have "minors DNI" on my blog; i do not want to know your age. it is safer and better for you and i alike to have no personal clues about each other whatsoever

this post of mine popped up in my notifs again and im now really thinking about it with current events and how I've calmed down overtime with this issue/had my view change a bit. i still agree with my overall message of "you should really keep your privacy online, especially if you're underage" and think that encouraging kids to make themselves vulnerable by oversharing overall puts them in a risky situation. but i think I've had a few changes I'll go into under the cut

for starters, i think it's actually fine if you ask someone "are you over 18", but i think it's also perfectly fine for even full grown adults to go "im not comfortable answering that" for any reason at all. i especially think kids online should be taught more to go "im not answering that" because they never know who they're talking to. i also encourage more usage of just quietly blocking people in situations like this, whether you're uncomfy with a lack of age in bio, or are uncomfy with people asking.

in the second bit, i seem to blame kids for us having a now very shitty online world, but i think it's far more complicated than that and also just...not the fault of kids. besides that, i still stand by the idea that someone's age isn't owed to you, especially if they're a kid. i just wish i didn't word it like an ass. it's ok to block someone on suspicion of them being underage so you can play it safe, I've done the same because age in bio tends not to be reliable or is not there. i also think that the "age in bio" argument also encourages kids to lie and say that they're older so they can feel respected and/or get into erotic spaces, which is already an issue online. again, go off of your intuition instead of expecting people to fork over any personal info, even if age is a seemingly very simple piece of that info.

lastly, I'd like to talk about the "minors dni" thing; i still occasionally go through to see if i can find obvious children following me to block them lmfao. i actually recently blocked 2 or 3 teens with "im 15!!" in their bio following me. so for any little goobers coming onto my blog;

making your age that obvious puts a target on your back, you do not have to reveal your age to enjoy your interests on tumblr, please for the love of god. going "IM A MINOR. DEFINITELY DON'T SEND ME PORN" is like reverse psychology to the average groomer

besides that, i would like to expand on why i dont have an explicit "minors DNI" on my blog. it's because I don't think it works lmfao. if you were a kid growing up online, you already know it doesn't work. that doesn't mean im not occasionally checking though.

if im worried about it because of a sudden influx of followers or anything like that (which has happened a few times. hi tysm), that's when i tend to check. i don't look frequently because looking at how many people follow me makes me wanna die in a hole sometimes, but i still manage to put on big boy pants sometimes to check.
