Hello! I am chaoticphilemon! (same handle on ao3)

I like Nyarlathotep/Philemon!! I can't write very well, but I continue to practice nonetheless. I'm also cool with writing suggestions! Can't guarantee I'll ever remember to complete them, or even get to it in the first place (health issues lol)

I post kind of erratically, often using this place like a writing diary more than anything. If you want to say hi, please feel free to leave an ask though!

I am also obsessed with Philemon. The blorbo of all time.

Currently taking a much needed hiatus from writing, I'm struggling to enjoy it and am just burning myself out. Sorry!

saw someone say that they don't read fics under 10k and had to laugh because more fool you, that is where all the bangers are. obviously I'm biased but truly nothing hits like a 1.5k fic with a lowercase title from some obscure poet where nothing actually happens and yet you emerge blinking with a completely new outlook on the character. infinitely rereadable. like a perfectly crafted pastry. I'm gobbling them up!

Shout out to everyone else with aphantasia trying to choreograph scenes in a fic. What are the characters doing? I don't know! I can't see them! I can get a glimpse of a gesture if I concentrate really hard while not thinking about it or looking at them directly. Use your imagination because mine won't tell me.

Having aphantasia means I cant get disappointed by my own art cause idk how I wanted it to look in the first place! However, I cannot imagine two men kissing n holding hands, which truly is a curse.

Fun fact about my writing process, I simply cannot function if I don't keep track of my tags while I write XDD

My greatest fear is accidentally posting one of these drafts someday because they're incredibly silly and also a good place to vent frustrations while I write.

When I finish the actual story I copy from the draft and edit anything I'm not the biggest fan of (for example, I'll probably have a better idea about the slow burn when I post this)

It's a good way to remember what the story is even supposed to be about XDD My memory has been rather poor so it's a very big help!!

Told myself if I finish this fic today I can play the horse girl gambling game, and shockingly I've never been more motivated to write.

Finally rewarded myself with some Umamusume, and oh my gosh. I played a bit of Haru Urara's route and I did not expect to walk away so inspired.

I often get discouraged with my writing, and improving at the rate I want to is impossible at the moment. I often doubt if I should even be posting at the skill level I'm at, but now I'm wondering if that's really how I should be thinking about it.

She really is the shining star for losers everywhere XDD
