The Time Is Now

SO honoured to be featured in The Time Is Now magazine alongside some of the world's top female bosses making change fighting for women's rights. SUCH a beautiful publication produced in association with the British Film Institute and FOX, it's available in cinemas across the UK and it's gonna be a weekend insert in the The Guardian in a couple of weeks too, so pick up a copy and be inspired by all these amazing girls doing amazing things. SO PROUD TO BE A FEMINIST!!!! ‪

Nailympia

Today I was invited to The World's largest nail competition Nailympia London as head judge and nail guru Elaine Watson's special guest after she read the feature about my campaign Nail Transphobia on Broadly. She’s officially my new BFF! I had suchhhhh a fabulous day and felt so special with my little VIP pass thingy- seeing Nail Transphobia written under my name makes it all feel so real and proper!! Such a proud moment for me.

Elaine then introduced me to nail guru and radio host Athena Elliott for her station Nail Talk radio- the most fabulous radio station evaaaa!! Thank you so so much Elaine and Athena for inviting me, interviewing me and supporting me and my campaign, I love you both so so much!!!!! Whenever you’re in London again you have to let me know so I can buy you a drink (Malibu and pineapple of course) LOVE YOU BOTH!!

Gal-dem.com Feature

One of the loveliest articles I’ve ever read about my campaign up on Gal-dem.com. I was reading it in on my way to work and a tear came to my eye as I read the last sentence because it made me realise I’m actually achieving what I set out to do with my campaign when I set it up 2 years ago, but that special moment was ruined when some lads shouted "that's a man" at me from across the street, reminding me that though I’ve achieved a lot with my campaign I still have so much to do ...

ASOS Feature

Cheeky lil feature up on ASOS babies! SO SOO happy!! It’s really taking off now guys!

“So, whats the future of Nail Transphobia? ‘It’s my campaign’s second birthday coming up this month and I want to start taking Nail Transphobia to the next level. I’m a girl from a council estate so funding the whole project myself has been tough, but I’d love to start doing talks and panels about transgender issues as well as self-defence classes for transgender people. Polyester Magazine X Nail Transphobia

Yesterday was Polyester magazine’s 1st Birthday bash and to celebrate they ran a day of talks and workshops by amazing females bosses like Maisie Cousins and Shop Floor Whore and moi *tongue pop* to celebrate at The Glory London.

Was busy painting nails for 6 hours straight (totally high off the fumes by the end of the day) so didn't get many pictures, but here are a few cute ones of the day if you missed it (sucks 2 b u hun) . 

Here’s my cute lil pop up salon, with party rings of course (absolute ESSENTIAL for all Nail Transphobia events babes - they make the party super naughty).

Painted loads of babes nails and made loads of friends (2 of my faves below).

Talked on a panel about radical self care with the amazing Ceedling, Hannah Hill and Joanna Kiely (we would make such a good girl band tbh)

Got sent this cute note from the bartender (is that a euphemism hun lol) 

Had best birthday cake ever

and even got shot by Maisie fucking Cousins (so haps)

YAHOOOOO! I’m on Yahoo

I’ve been in the best mood ALL week- I got home from work on Monday to an email from Bobbi Brown (CEO of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Editor of Yahoo Beauty) saying how much she loved my campaign after she saw my feature in Broadly (read it here) and how she wanted to tell my story!

Birdsong Shoot

Working on something SCANDALOUS with Birdsong today! London Pride X Nail Transphobia

Today was London Pride and I was invited to bring Nail Transphobia to this years Arts Pride event. 

The venue in Oxford Circus overlooked the parade so when I wasn't painting nails I was watching the parade (and drinking the free champagne obvs) with my babe Dean, who came to help me because I knew it was gonna be a big event after it was featured in Gay Star News.
