My Supergirl Related Fanfic Ideas
So my friend @handlewithkara suggested that it would be a good idea for me to advertise some of my fanfics and share some of my ideas so I can get some feedback and hopefully get some help with some of them. These are gonna be ones that specifically ones that involve the character of Supergirl(mainly the Kara Zor-El version but not always as you'll see). I assure you that she is not the only character I like and want to write for but as she's still one of my personal favorites, this felt like a good enough place to start. Please let me know in a comment or reblog which of my ideas interest you the most and whether you'd be interested in helping me write them, thank you.
P.S: I'm also going to try adding and mentioning if there's any relationships in them and if there are, who would end up with who.
1. This first one is gonna be a bit of a stretch as while it's not full on Karamel related, Mon-El will have a small cameo and his relationship with Kara will be mentioned. So in this fic, I will be using the character of Power Girl, however not the version most would know her as. In a fight against a resurrected and rampaging Doomsday, Kara is gravely wounded and presumed dead. However as her body is preserved, her DNA is used to make a clone of her. Basically the power girl you'd see in this fic would turn out to be the equivalent of Galatea in Justice League Unlimited.
Endgame OTPs: none that would be major noteworthy and if any small scenes they'd be the ones typically expected post-crisis: Supergirl S5B, etc.
2. This next one is actually not gonna be like the Supergirl show and more so based on DC comics as Kara was older(around 15-16) when she left Krypton and as she remained in suspended animation while on her way to Earth, is still a teenager when she arrives on earth. This fic is gonna be somewhat like the cartoons and comics as Kara is found by Clark, brought to the Kent's and tries to fit in as a normal teenager in highschool while also becoming a hero as Supergirl. This one I have the major story arcs planned out for the entire fic as I don't wanna stay it out longer than it should, but the MAJOR arcs will be; 1) Cyborg Superman, 2) Brainiac, 3) Project Cadmus, 4) the Luthors. Lar Gand/Mon-El will come in later during the Brainiac arc.

3. A Romeo & Juliet AU set on Krypton and Daxam (SPOILER: Imra will be featured and have a minor role as Rhea and Lar Gand favor her with Titan being one of Daxam’s few allies and thus, in order to have the planets’ alliance remain a permanent union and because they believe she’ll be a worthy partner, they have Mon-El and Imra arranged to be engaged and wed). Kara and Mon-el meet via an annual meeting between the two planet's noble houses as a part of the truce between the war of Krypton and Daxam. However the two sides still don't think highly of one another and Kara and Mon-El's later formed bond is still strictly forbidden, and you can count one batshit crazy mom (Rhea) to do whatever she can to prevent the two being happy together.
4. A small Datthews(Danvers/Matthews) AU one-shot where Kara is the new girl in town and as she’s settling in, she gets a part-time gig at the night club ‘Mike’ and his friends tend to hang out at.
5. A general rewrite of the show as much as I love it, I feel like there’s a lot of missed opportunities and the plot could be easily shifted around with its main arcs and antagonists. The way I have the arcs go so far is; Arc 1 - Astra, Arc 2 - Daxamites, Arc 3 - the Fatal Five, Arc 4 - Daxamites, Arc 5 - Worldkillers. The overall core of the show will be the same however some details will be changed up, such as Mon-El may have more of his feats and skills from the comics so he isn't constantly getting thrown around every fight however of course when the threat calls for it, he can still get his ass kicked like the others. Another being Zor-El will have a greater role in Kara's backstory like in the new 52 comics. Instead of J'onn and M'gann having a romantic relationship, it'd be more like a father and an adoptive daughter. There will be no Mon-El and Imra marriage as we don't need any needless drama from that. Kara will have a slightly different day job so she isn't just a reporter like Clark. AgentReign(Alex X Sam) will be an endgame pairing. And one last major change, as mentioned before, Mon-El will return more than once after joining the legion and the plot will be shifted around, in the original timeline, Kara dies against Reign. However, unable to sit idly by and let that happen, Mon-El goes back in time to help try to prevent Kara's death, Imra and Brainy accompanying him.

6. My SuperValor AU. This is another one I was thinking of doing that'd be a mix of both the show and comics. And I mean by that being you'll have some of the characters from the show but the characterization and storylines will be more like the comics. There will be cameos from other heroes, there will be no DEO, but will still feature Kara as a young adult. Basically it’d be Kara trying to be her own hero without any kind of organization backing her mainly just having Alex, her friends, and said other heroes who occasionally pop up as a supporting cast. Mon-El would also be tweaked to where he has all of his powers from the comics which match those of a Kryptonian, and while he’s still not as strong and is still vulnerable to lead, he isn’t gonna be as nerfed as he is sometimes in the show. Also he’ll have more of his comics origin where he’s originally born with the name Lar-Gand, however when he arrives on Earth, he has amnesia. His major story arc being revealed in a storyline involving the Dominators as in that comic, we see Mon-El’s father play a major role. I haven't figured out all of the potential storylines I could use for each 'season' but some I definitely wanna do is; Invasion, Reign of the Cyborg Superman, and Red Daughter of Krypton(Kara as a red lantern).

7. A Post-Season 5 AU fanfic that'd take place weeks to months after season 5, ideally saying that Lex and Leviathan had been completely dealt with and not having to worry about them. And for the main premise/plot-setup of this one. Kara and the Super friends get a distress beacon from the 31st century, specifically from Imra and Winn. In it, the team learns that while they had originally succeeded in chasing Brainiac off, he has resurfaced and returned to do who knows what. And in trying to figure out what Brainiac is planning, several of their teammates had gone missing and presumably captured. Mon-El being among said captured Legionnaires. With their team now greatly reduced, they need them to come to the future and help.

8. Another AU multi-chapter fic where its the one where Kara owns a flower shop downtown and also helps volunteer at the hospital Alex works at, delivering flowers to patients and being someone they can sit and talk to. And during one of her shifts, she meets a comatosed Mike Matthews who had managed to survive a horrible ‘accident’ in which he was shot 3 times. However when he wakes up, he can’t remember much about what happened to him or even, who he is.

9. I'm kind of tempted to write at least a short story based on the dark dystopian timeline where Lena was full on evil and her and Kara were never friends because I have SO MANY QUESTIONS about that timeline and I got SO MANY karamel vibes based on how Mon-El reacted to seeing Mxy again and how protective he was over Kara.

10. And because I just can't get enough of these, the 'War of the Planets' fanfic we talked about the other day which would technically be a karamel reunion fanfic. When exactly to place it I'm unsure because with canon divergences can allow you to do whatever and it'd just need to be after seasons 4 and/or 5. And in that fanfic, we'd explore more of Krypton and 'New Krypton', actually addressing Kara's kryptonian heritage. Some of the major players would be as mentioned before; General Zod, Ursa, Jax-Ur, and Lesla Lar.

11. And to do something really different story about the 1990s post crisis and most importantly MAGIC(NOT KRYPTONIAN) based version of Supergirl, Linda Lee Danvers.

12. A legion of superheroes comic One-Shot focusing on Kara and brainy and the karadox relationship.
13. A multi-chaptered legion of superheroes fic that'll also be largely based on the comics with the legion of supervillains serving as the main villains
