So, first quick sorry for bringing this up now but i want to take advantage of the hype and hopefully get some answers.

So with the return of x-Men 97, Im revisiting the whole showrunner fiasco and I wanted to see if anyone out there would be willing to give me some context or further information.

From my understanding Baeu Demayo was fired for "eggregious sexual misconduct." Now i know Disney and by extention Marvel, is pretty homophobic. And with the almost slio n slide like joy that the US has used to slide right into facism, I wouldnt be surprised if his fireing was also based in him being black. Now what im wondering is, how much did people believe him at the time, what was the proof, and was there any sign anywhere that might back up the misconduct claim?

I know its weird for me to be asking like this but I dont trust news outlets atm and i DEFINATELY do no trust Disney.

I am sorry and a little disappointed in myself foe jumping on the bandwagen when i first heard of this but i also dont remember when all of this happened. Chances are Very good i was focused on other things.

I will say too that im on the fence about if I think hes a creep.

My other thing is, reguardless of who you are, it is a hell of a choice to have control over a whole ass show and decide to have a creepy realtionship like Rogue and Magneto. Especially knowing how poorly savage lands has aged in the eyes of a lot of fans. I know in the comics the relationship is presented very differently but thats not really the focus here. The show will reach a larger group then the comic readers (this makes me very sad tbh) and Im not sure im comforitable with a realtionship thats presented so inapropreately being seen by so many.

So please if anyone is able to provide me with further context for the whole Beau Demayo thing, that would be much appreciated. Id like to gave time to drool over nightcrawler.

Basically, Mr grifter announced that he might be getting into the collecting side of yugioh, which would lead to the scalping hell that now plagues the Pokémon and One Piece TCGs

As a joke, MBTYugioh gave them pointers on what to “invest in”, recommending some of the WORST shit products that this game released in the years

He then followed up with a tongue-in-cheek, clearly trolling video recommending shit like Legendary Duelists sets, Duelist of Deep and Synchro Storm, and the Platinum cards, and exclusive COINS before ending the video with “Don’t invest in yugioh. You will lose money due to this game’s reprint policies”

Like, it was very obvious for anyone with half-a-brain cell and is familiar with Yugioh that the video is a joke

BUT a bunch of scalping bots took the video at face value and bought out these doodoo, worthless products immediately after his fuckass video came out

Now they’re sitting on unsellable trash. 100% deserved, I hope everyone whose trying to grift this game like Pokémon loses their money
