whoa… the ancient philosophical quandary has at last been answered… he can has cheezburger
I just know that when I go to get my dentures repaired I'm going to have to explain, again, to new people, why it's not my fault that my teeth rotted out of my head.
All my life they've never wanted to listen, and I didn't used to hate the dentist. I used to love the dentist because I had two relatives in my family who were either dental hygenists or dental assistants. And they taught me all about how important my dental health was and made me feel safe about going to the dentist.
And then, in spite of my immaculate care, I got my first cavities at 6 years old. And they just didn't stop.
I brushed, I flossed, I used mouth wash, sometimes three times a day. Still, I'm a liar, there's no way I did all that and still had so much decay. No arguments, it was my fault.
I became obsessive about my teeth until finally in my 20's I stopped getting cleanings and I stopped flossing and I stopped using mouthwash 3 times a day. I brushed twice, and mouth wash at night.
Because they never listened and they all blamed me and they had no other solutions besides floss more, brush more, mouthwash more.
All the women in my family, with all their different lifestyles and different health problems or lack thereof lost their teeth early in life. Struggled with severe tooth decay. Even the hygeinist!
My great grandmother suffered so much it was why my great aunt went into the dental profession in the first place, and she still got dentures in her 30's. My grandmother couldn't afford as much care and went around with a hillbilly smile until her 40's. My mother and my aunt have bridges and crowns and no real teeth left. One root canal after another, for years. Tens of thousands of dollars in dental bills between them.
But just brush more, floss more, use prescription mouthwash.
There was a time in my early teens I brushed for 2 straight minutes when I woke up, I had a timer, I brushed after every meal, I flossed after every meal. Until I couldn't stand the fact that I couldn't fit my hands in my mouth to floss my back molars. My mouth was physically too small for my teeth, and no one was willing to take out my impacted wisdom teeth because "you might need them."
But "It's okay, everyone lies to their dentist."
Except I didn't.
Now I'm in the dentist anxiety club with a set of dentures that have a crack almost all the way across.
So my dentures have a massive crack in them that NEEDS repair.
I got them in February 2020, and then moved, and then their business name changed and I thought they were another business entirely.
Called an affiliated location close to me, and unless they can confirm I got my dentures with them they won't even schedule a consultation.
After searching for my dental paperwork all day and finding nothing in my email but an appointment confirmation I now have to wait until Monday.
After further research, the denture people have two names for the same business and I HOPE the old location still has my information or I'm going to have to search for someone to repair them.
My diet is about to get a lot more strict if I lose my ability to chew... AGAIN.
this “bon appetit” meme has turned into some sort of bizarre telephone game where each incarnation sounds more and more different than the original. in what way does “bon appetit” sound like “osteoporosis”
i don’t know but it’s cracking me up every time i even think about it
bon appetit -> bone apple teeth -> bone ??? ??? -> osteoporosis
this has layers, man
STOP TELLING WOMEN THAT TREATMENT FOR ECTOPIC PREGNANCIES AND MISCARRIAGES ARE NOW ILLEGAL This is WRONG and the fear-mongering misinformation is going to get women killed because they will be scared to seek actual medical treatment for these tragic conditions.
Treatment for ectopic pregnancy is NOT abortion.
Treatment for a miscarriage is NOT abortion.
Abortion is the intentional killing of an unborn child.
ALL recent legislation that has passed restricting abortion explicitly states this, and the arguments regarding similarities in procedural tools and hospital coding are irrelevant because there is the very distinct moral and legal difference between medical care and abortion.
IF YOU THINK YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING AN ECTOPIC PREGNANCY OR MISCARRIAGE, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
Just gonna drop a recipe my husband and I made on the fly that instantly became a household favorite (I mean it probably exists with a name somewhere but I literally just threw all this together without consulting the internet)
2lbs Ground Italian Sausage (or cubed chicken thighs)
1 and a half containers of baby spinach in the 5oz buckets
2lbs potato gnocchi
1 whole jar Lucini Savory Golden Tomato sauce
.
.
.
.
1 whole jar (15oz) alfredo sauce (extra dots so you don't miss it under the ginormous reference photo)
Lightly chop 1 and a half tubs of baby spinach, set aside.
Heat ground sausage/chicken in a pan, and boil a separate pot of water for the gnocchi. Add massive quantities of salt to water and ignore until boiling
When meat of choice is cooked through, lower heat and add chopped spinach to wilt, stirring occasionally.
When water reaches a rolling boil, reduce heat slightly and add gnocchi. Cook 2-3 minutes or until the gnocchi all floats to the top. (Drain, combine with meat & spinach mixture once wilted and set aside)
To a sauce pan on medium/low heat, add tomato sauce and alfredo sauce to warm. Stir thoroughly.
Seasonings (add to sauce only. Or do what you want, I'm not your mom)
2tsp Oregano
2tbsp Italian Seasoning Mix
1tbsp garlic powder or minced garlic (or however much makes your heart happy. I probably realistically added like 3-4tbsp of garlic)
1tbsp onion powder
A heap of cracked pepper
Minced chives until it looks restaurant fancy
And Jane's Krazy Mixed-Up Salt to taste; add until it meets your preference.
Mix that whole mess together and enjoy
Honestly though don't trust the seasoning measurements, I just poured everything in until it looked like an accident and it was amazing
Garlic bread is an awesome addition, too (but like when is garlic bread not an awesome addition?)
love is the most important thing ever
not just romance . just having love in ur heart
Please stop this amatonormativity ;-;
what exactly is wrong with this post genuinely what problem is there like are u good do u need something
It’s amatonormative because it says “love is the most important thing ever.” No exceptions, no caveats, no “this is how it is for me but hey you do you.” Amatonormativity is the idea that everyone wants love, that everyone is hardwired for it, and it’s so pervasive that when the aromantic community said “maybe don’t put love on a pedestal?”, everyone went “we’ll just add all the other types of love to the pedestal, you should be happy now!” and then got mad when we weren’t.
If love is super important to you, then that’s fine! Still examine yourself for amatonormative impulses because they’re probably there, etc, and you may even find something else is more important to you. But don’t tell other people that it has to be important to them, too.
And. . . love really isn’t the most important thing ever. Yes, even platonic love. Even familial love. Even just “having love in ur heart.” Nothing is the most important thing ever, because everyone has different priorities, and that’s okay! It’s absolutely fine if you find fulfillment in kindness or compassion or happiness or a combination of those or something else entirely. You’re not doing anything wrong.
shut the fuck up and go outside
No, but really, you're wrong. Love of others really and truly is the most important thing under loving God.
A life without love, and I'm not talking the romantic kind, a life without love for others is empty.
It's meaningless.
Truly, empty, meaningless, nothingness, because all self serving love will give you is an empty room at the end of your life just waiting for death.

the role of the person in the passenger seat is not only navigator but secretary as well. you have to type up the drivers messages to random ladies on facebook about cbd cream & google whether that billy joel song was the theme song for that show or not
you also have to provide a henchmans disdainful scowl at whoever the driver is flipping off in the target parking lot
other assorted roles may include
retrieval team for objects in the backseat
custodian of the parking garage tickets
"All clear my way"
en-route dining concierge
announcing "Horses!" when there are horses
I mean there’s a reason it’s called “shotgun”
