The Prawn Nebula

Astronomers love a sea food flavoured nebula, in this instance we have a heavenly prawn which of course is just your brain making shapes out of random clouds.

In this instance we have a emissions nebula (the orange colour) and a reflective blue from a number of bright blue stars in the cluster. It's these same stars that also bombard the cloud with UV to make it glow.

The whole nebula is situated south of the red giant star Antares which sits in one of the most spectacular regions in the night sky.
