I made a video after this mornings Darkness Into Light. If you have a few minutes to give it a watch I'd really appreciate it. I just want to congratulate everyone who organised it and everyone who took part. The numbers who took part were excellent and was just rewards for those who put in an incredible amount of work and hours organising the event. Not everyone may reach the point of "Darkness" in their life but just looking at the signatures on the banner in the hall today it was obvious that suicide has affected just about every family in some way. The walk is symbolic for me in that it reaffirms the idea that if you share with others then you will get back into the "Light". Today multiple communities joined to remember loved ones while also raising funds for Pieta House which will ultimately mean less lives lost. There was no tears or upset though. All I saw were people smiling and happy to be there no mater what time of the morning it was. So I for one as a person who still finds himself battling to get back fully into the Light from the Darkness want to thank everyone today who took part not only in Kilmallock but Worldwide. The support is the greatest thing anyone could ask for and I'm sure I'm not the only one who believes that. #DIL2017 #PietaHouse #DarknessIntoLight #Kilmallock #Limerick #Charity #SuicidePrevention PS: This is a photo I took two years ago. I was on official photography duty today so couldn't take the time to take artsy photos like this. https://youtu.be/CgOOH4N--Bc here is the link to my video.
