Granted, it is the Joker, but the point still stands.

My review: The Joker dies hooray! And Bruce is also dead, sad. So when the Red Hood swoops into Gotham with his mission of vengeance, he finds that Batman avenged him, but his father is gone. I just really love Jason and Dick rebuilding each other's lives and taking care of their kid siblings. It gives me warm feelings.

Red Hood identity reveal heavily involving Batman noticing his idiosyncrasies

The new crime lord, Red Hood, is new, undeniably of course, but also familiar. Like a cover of a song from your childhood.

It's everything from Hood's posture to the slight little lilt making it through the voice modulator. The Red Hood and Jason are so, so very similar and Bruce can't keep a clear enough head to tell if it's just wild coincidence.

Hood sardonically quotes Shakespeare on a rooftop. The delivery is developed and honed just how Bruce could imagine his son maturing. If he got to.

It gets worse when these similarities are so many that Batman can read his body language unlike any Rogue.

Hood puffs up and tenses when uncomfortable. Hood rolls his shoulders when cold. Hood's chin slowly dips downward when he's irritated.

Then it all makes sense.

The helmet is off and underneath are the same exact curls and the same exact worried, watching eyes in while Bruce thinks. After both their hearts crack open and spill, Bruce takes a risk and folds ... him into his arms and Jay is so much bigger but he slumps against kevlar the same way. His cape lays over him the same way.

the gentleness in ilya eyes when he looks at shane whilst shane's telling him how they could work things out in the future.... the agony in ilya's face before he tells shane that he loves him in russian... the way he looks like he doesn't know how to turn it off, this profound love he has for shane like it's in that moment that he's truly realizing that he can't do it anyway, even if he tried. the way he starts crying, murmuring it in russian before he's telling it shane with so much acceptance in his voice, but getting scared for a brief moment just to hear shane say it back! the relief he must've felt! my boy was crying! it stopped feeling like agony! it doesn't kill him anymore!!!

Red Hood au where Jason has amnesia (thanks to being beaten upside the head before being blown up), but still wants to do his insane revenge plan against Batman. He has no idea why he's beefing with this random ass dude. He just knows he has unresolved daddy issues and pointed it at the most dramatic looking bitch on the East Coast

Au where Batman doesn't want to tell the Justice League his secret identity but it's because he's really embarrassed about the things he's done as Bruce Wayne.

The thing is; Batman has spent years crafting and perfecting his public persona.

'Brucie Wayne' is supposed to be a dumber than life himbo, with daddy's credit card and the maturity of a seventeen year old. He's supposed to be someone so outlandishly ridiculous no one would ever even dare to mention him in the same sentence as Batman... And Batman has been acting that part perfectly.

It's a genius plan.

But then the league begins talking about maybe all sharing their secret identities, to become closer as a group and work better together. And the only thing in Batman's mind is 'Oh. My. God. Please don't'

Superman is saying something about trust and how he has come to value all of them as friends. Batman is thinking about last year Christmas' Gala, where he took off his clothes in an improvised strip-tease, and started swimming in the fountain.

Wonder woman is talking about how she wishes to strengthen their bonds so they become greater warriors. Bruce just remembered there's videos of him fucking twerking and pole dancing to Ariana Grande all over the internet.

Flash starts smiling and telling them he already trust them with his life– Bruce once said chocolate milk came from brown cows.

'Oh. My. God'.

There's just no way he's telling any of them.
