I have a whole rant i could go on about how fans doing japananese covers in english try too rigidly to stick to the og translation, instead of staying in the spirit of the song (if the song is about being lost then sticking to using words that relate to that theme) and using words that might not be what was in the og but actually flow in english

nothing kills a fantastic cover song then when the singer is stumbling over awkward verses filled with words that don't fit the pacing of the song or the rhythm, all for the sake of being as "accurate" to the original translation as possible...

instead of making somthing that actually sounds good/makes sense
