【 ❀ ❀ ❀ 】 —— Face brightening as the door opens, she has to press her lips together to hide her smile as she watches the sudden realization that she isn’t where she should be dawn on his face. From a young age, Alma has been quite apt at skirting around the palace guards and the servants who might warn her mother what she was up to. She’s even better at hiding; sometimes disappearing for hours at a time before she was found. Of course, it was quickly noted when she was gone, as she wouldn’t show up for her lessons, but she supposes there is no way around that.

“You shouldn’t have, Princess. But thank you.”
There was no way he could refuse her now. He accepted the basket carefully, it’s slight warmth erasing everything other than an appreciation of her kindness. He knew it would seem like he was encouraging her, but perhaps a warning before she left would suffice. In the meantime, they might as well enjoy it.
