YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE NOT TO REBLOG THIS.
I DONโT GIVE A FUCK IF IT DOESNโT GO WITH YOUR BLOGโS THEME.
And yes, REBLOG. Liking does no shit at all. This isnโt ig.
You reblog, people see it. You donโt, people donโt see it. This shitโs that simple.
This could save someoneโs life. Itโs not a joke.
This isnโt some โoh yeah sure it couldโ.
This could legitimately do so.
Donโt you dare fucking scroll past.
This is good stuff to know!
please, please, please reblog. reblogging will take one second of your time. meanwhile it could save someoneโs entire life.
please reblog!
Soo I have a blood kinkโฆ someone reported a post about it like this one time and I got a message from tumblr asking if I was okay and how to get help if I needed it. Was actually cool I didnโt know it was a thing that tumblr would do and until now didnโt know exactly why that had happened other than something with that post but not that they had this whole set up
Suicide prevention is important. It works. I have personally benefited from it.
But it only works if people know about it. So please consider passing along.
Please do this whenever you see any of this, it could really help someone.
One, please reblog. Please.
Two, if youโre worried people donโt care about you, look at this post. I dont really know many people on here who suffer like this openly because its all shits and giggles mainly, but Iโm still posting it, incase you or someone else seeโs this and can help out another life. Please. People do care and they will, itโs frustrating but thereโs always a hiccup in the road, even if yours has been years old. It gets better, and when it does, everything will be worth it <3
It would be nice if you reblogged. And please donโt swear at your theoretical reader, no one likes that.
this stuff is important
And Also, please do not abuse this feature for blogs you donโt like as it can and will water down the significance this can have on a person!

genuine question from someone who would rather chew their arm off than go to a public gym, and also doesnt have a lot of money: how do you safely get into strength training? are there youtube channels, apps (android), etc anyone recommends that makes it approachable and don't lean into diet culture / body shaming?
also the biggest thing that keeps me from working out is that I already have joint and spinal issues and moving the wrong way can fuck up a knee or a shoulder or my spine for days. I really don't want to injure myself, and have unwittingly done so before. resources that are extremely clear on exactly how to move and offer gentler / alternative ways to move for people with limited range are vital.
Okay, so this may not technically be strength training, but muscles are dumber than bricks and cannot tell the difference between your own bodyweight and actual weights.
So, may I recommend:
Hey everyone! My name is Hampton and my brand is Hybrid Calisthenics. You can find me by that name pretty much everywhere on social media.
He runs a YouTube channel where he goes over how to work your way up to more complex exercises (for instance, his pull-ups videos start with using a door jamb and moving your weight back and forth) so it's good for easing yourself into things.
You also don't have to fork out for expensive weights and such if you don't want to/can't. Substitute with stuff you either already have at home or can get from the supermarket and build up the weight you can exercise with. 500 gram cans of butter beans then 750 gram bottles of pasta sauce. 1 litre drink bottle then your 1.5 litre milk bottle. 3 litre bulk-buy bottle of laundry detergent. Etc. One of my dogs weighs 13 kilos and I pick her up on the regular (to her delight). One weighs 16 kg and I pick him up too (to his consternation and mild disapproval). You don't have to fit out some fancy home gym before you can start strength training.
I second Hybrid Calisthenics, that's the program I use. It's run by one guy who's taken it upon himself to make exercising more accessible and it's completely free! Each exercise has different variations based on your ability and each variation is further divided into different levels of difficulty so you can work up to where you want to be. If you can't do a single push up for example then this program will help you work up to the point where you can, and if you're a master of push ups then there are more advanced body weight exercises you can tackle so you can keep moving forward in your training without stagnating. The routine offers a full body workout with absolutely no equipment required for the beginning levels. The only reason you would need to buy anything is if you want to work up to a full pull up, at which point you would need actual pull up rings
Here's his actual website which I feel is easier to navigate than the YouTube channel on its own and organizes things in a way that's easy to understand. He explains everything you need to know about the routine and each individual exercise has both a text description and a video tutorial

Musical Monday's (But it's now Friday) Week 10!
Hey all! I hope you're all doing great and that your week so far has been nothing short of fantastical.
Today, I'm posting week 10 of my Musical Mondays. I'm sorry for the short delay and thank you so much for your patience if you have been waiting for me to post this week. ๐
The song this week is such a BOP! I really like it and hope you all do too!
Notes: As I am not 100% fluent in Korean, and I use these posts to help practice my own Korean sentences, there could be a few mistakes. So if you spot any, or a better way to translate something, please let me know so I can correct my mistakes! Thank you!
Translations: I use a mixture of my own sample sentences, Papago translation and Naver Dictionary. Where sentences are not my own, I have labelled where they are sourced from.

Formula:
Verb Stem+ (์ผ)๋ฉด + Verb Stem + ์๋ก
2.) ~๋๋ก To an extent/ to make
It is used to show the purpose of an action.
It is used when the speaker is forcing the listener(s) to do something.
It is also used when the speaker is giving an order
When you are showing the purpose of an action formula =
The clause containing the purpose/ goal + Verb Stem + ๋๋ก + clause containing the behaviour/ action that is taken. Clause 1 is giving the reason for why clause 2 happens.
I eat less processed foods, in order to be healthier.
์์ฆ์ ์ ๋ ๋ชธ์ด ๋ ๊ฑด๊ฐํ๋๋ก ๊ฐ๊ณต์ํ์ ๋ ๋จน๊ณ ์์ด์. These days, I'm eating less processed foods to make my body healthier. (In order to make my body healthier, these days I am eating less processed foods.)
์์ฆ์ ์ ๋ ๋ชธ์ด ๋ ๊ฑด๊ฐํ๋๋ก ๊ฐ๊ณต์ํ์ ๋ ๋จน๊ณ ์์ด์.
Clause 1: Contains the purpose/ goal โ These days, in order to make my body healthier.
Clause 2: Contains the behaviour/ action that is taken โ Iโm eating less processed foods.
When the speaker is forcing the listener to do something the formula is:
Verb stem + ๋๋ก ํ๋ค/ ๋ง๋ค๋ค
์ ์๋: ์น ํ์ ์๋ ์ง๋ฌธ์ ๋ตํ๋๋ก ํ์ธ์. Try to answer the questions on the blackboard.

์น ํ์ ์๋ ์ง๋ฌธ์ ๋ตํ๋๋กํ์ธ์.
Answer the question. โ Here the teacher is telling the student to answer the question.
When giving orders the formula is:
Use Verb stem + ๋๋ก and place it at the end of a sentence.
e.g. โฆโฆโฆโฆ...ํ๋๋ก.
์ด ๋ณ๋์ ๋ค์ด์ค๊ธฐ ์ ์ ์์ ์๋ ํ๋๋ก. Disinfect your hands before entering this ward. Sanitize your hands before entering this ward.
์ด ๋ณ๋์ ๋ค์ด์ค๊ธฐ ์ ์ ์์ ์๋ ํ๋๋ก.
์์ ์๋ ํ๋๋ก โ Disinfect your hands โ Here the command is given for the listener
to wash their hands before entering the ward. The command is โSanitize/ Disinfect your hands.โ
I will be creating a separate grammar post for these 2 grammar points in the near future so stay tuned for that! ๐

Musical Monday's Week 8
Hey all! How's everyone doing? I hope you all had a fantastic weekend (And smashing Halloween) and that this new fresh week treats you amazingly!
Today after a week's hiatus (I'm so sorry I took a week off, I'm still recovering from being sick) I'm back with another Musical Monday! WHOOP WHOOP!
Today's song is like something I've never heard of before. I'm so glad I got it suggested to me!
Notes: As I am not 100% fluent in Korean, there could be a few mistakes. If you spot any, please lemme know so I can fix them!
Translation Notes: I use Musical Monday's as a study practice, so I use a combination of my own examples, Naver Dictionary's and Papago translation. Where sentences are not my own, I have labelled where they are sourced from.
Song: Gameun Deut
Artist: Mid-Air Thief
Song Suggested By: @polyglaht
My thoughts on the song: I feel like I'm sat in a really cool and hip cafรฉ, drinking an oat milk latte and looking at the world go by, as I listen to this song. It's so unique and cool. I miss going to Cafe's so this makes me feel like I'm not missing out as much! Thank you so much for recommending this to me! You have excellent taste in music!!! ๐โโโ
Right then everyone, shall we get this study party started?

GRAMMAR: ์ผ๋ก
The Korean Particle ์ผ๋ก has quite a few different meanings
It is mainly used in order to demonstrate the tool/ method/ material that something is carried out with.
In this form it can be translated into English as โWithโ โByโ โOnโ
์ผ๋ก = Consonant ๋ก = Vowel
Used to talk about the means of transportation speaker is taking:
๋ด๋ ์ฌ๋ฆ์ ๋นํ๊ธฐ๋ก ๋ฉ์์ฝ์ ๊ฐ ๊ฑฐ์์. I'm going to Mexico by plane next summer.
์ ๋ ํ์๋ก ์๋น์ ๊ฐ ๊ฑฐ์์. I'm going to the restaurant by taxi. (My version)
์ ๋ ํ์ ํ๊ณ ์๋น์ผ๋ก ๊ฐ๊ณ ์์ด์. I'm going to the restaurant by taxi. (Papago version)
Can be also used to indicate what language something is spoken in:
๊ทธ๊ฒ์ ํ๊ตญ์ด๋ก ๋ํ์ดํ์ฌ ๋งํด์ฃผ์ธ์. Please repeat it in Thai.
๊ทธ๊ฒ์ ์ดํ๋ฆฌ์์ด๋ก ๋ํ์ดํ์ฌ ๋งํด์ฃผ์ธ์. Please repeat it in Italian.
It can be used to describe what food a person eats for a specific meal time:
์ ๋ ์ฃผ๋ก ์ ์ฌ์ผ๋ก ์๋ฌ๋๋ฅผ ๋จน์ด์. I usually eat salad for lunch. I mainly/ primarily eat salad for lunch.
์ ๋ ์์นจ์์ฌ๋ก ์ฐจ๋ง ๋ง์ จ์ด์. I only drank tea for breakfast.
Can also be used to talk about the direction that something takes place in:
๋ฏธ๋๋ ์นดํ๋ก ๊ฐ ๊ฑฐ์์. Mina is going to the cafe. (Lit: Mina is going in the direction of the cafe.)
์๋, ์ด์ชฝ์ผ๋ก ์ค์ธ์. Sir/ Madam, Please come this way.
Examples in the song:
ํ๋ฌ ๋ฐ์ผ๋ก ๋๊ฐ๋ ๋์์ ์ ๋ณ์ด When I went outside, the star was in front of me.
(Here ์ผ๋ก is being used to talk about direction. โWhen I went OUTSIDEโฆโ
ํ๋ฌ ์์ผ๋ก ๋๊ฐ๋ ์๋ฌด๊ฒ๋ ์๋ค There's nothing going forward.
(Again the function of ์ผ๋ก is being used to talk about direction โGoing FORWARDโฆโ
I will be creating a separate grammar post for this in the near future so stay tuned for that! ๐๐

In Depth Body Vocab [pt. 3]
A lot of people liked PART TWO a lot! Thank you for all your kind comments and praise! PART THREE will cover the skin and necessary vocabulary underneath. Enjoy <3
*picture is of a chest (half skeleton, half muscle) and a skull (necessary vocabulary is highlighted)
๋ผ๋ - skeleton
skeleton can also be translated as: ํด๊ณจ andย ๊ณจ๊ฒฉ
major differences between ๋ผ๋, ํด๊ณจ, and ๊ณจ๊ฒฉ: ๋ผ๋ and ํด๊ณจ are the most similar. Sometimes ํด๊ณจ can refer to only the skull (see skullย for a better understanding) - both of these refer to deadย skeletons. However, ํด๊ณจ comes from ํ์ย โ้ชธ้ชจโ. The word ๊ณจ๊ฒฉ also comes from ํ์ meaning ้ชจๆ ผ (frame, figure)ย orย ้ชจ้ชผ (skeleton).
๊ทผ์ก - muscle
๋ผ - bone
์ธ๋ - ligament
์ด - flesh (not skin, but theย โmeaty-likeโ part; almost like fat)
๊ด์ - joint
๋๊ฐ๊ณจ / ํด๊ณจ - skull
major difference between ๋๊ฐ๊ณจ and ํด๊ณจ: both come from ํ์ ( ๋๊ฐ๊ณจ = ้ ญ่้ชจ // ํด๊ณจ = ้ชธ้ชจ), however, ํด๊ณจ (according to a Korean native speaker), refers to the picture of a skull. Whereas ๋๊ฐ๊ณจ refers to the actual, physical skull.
๊ด๋๋ผ - cheekbone
์๋ํฑ๋ผ - mandible (jaw)
์ฝ๋ผ - nasal bone
Example Sentences:
๋คํํ ๋ผ์๋ ์ด์์ด ์๋์ - Fortunately, there is nothing wrong with the bone (the bone is alright/not broken).

์ฌ๋๋ฆ - pimple / zit
๊ธฐ๋ฏธ / ์ฃผ๊ทผ๊นจ - freckles
major difference between ๊ธฐ๋ฏธ and ์ฃผ๊ทผ๊นจ: ๊ธฐ๋ฏธ refers to spots you get from the sun (not usually pleasant) while ์ฃผ๊ทผ๊นจ translated to actual freckles
๋ค๋๋ผ - sty
์์ผ - facial hair (this can be a mustache or beard)
์ ๊ต ์ด - the fatty pocket under the eyes
๋คํฌ์ํด - dark circles
์ - mole, spot
ํํฐ / ํ - a scar, blemish
major difference between ํํฐ and ํ : ํํฐ refers to an actual scar made a long time ago whereas ํ considers all types of blemishes or flaws on the skin
not to be confused with ์์ฒ (injury/wound that JUST happened) and ๋ฉ์๊ตญ (bruise)
์ ์ฌํํผ์ค / ์ ์ฌ์ ๋ฐ์ง - cold-sore
difference: ์ ์ฌํํผ์ค = lip herpes VS ์ ์ฌ์ ๋ฐ์ง = lip rash
Example Sentences:

์ ๋ ์๋ ์ ์ผ๊ตด์ ์๋ ์ ๋ค์ ๋บ์ด์ - I had a few moles removed.
Extra Vocab to Know:

ํน - bump / lump
๋ - sweat
๋๊ณฑ - sleep (the goop in your eye when you wake up; eye boogies)
ํํ(ํ๋ค) - sigh (to sigh)
๋ฐฉ๊ท - fart
ํธ๋ฆผ(ํ๋ค) - burp (to burp)
์๋ฆ - goosebumps / goose pimples
๋ธ๊พน์ง(ํ๋ค) - hiccup (to hiccup)
I received an ask last night asking about the word for โthroatโ. You could use ๋ชฉ to describe your throat but a more technical term would be ๋ชฉ๊ตฌ๋ฉ. However, this isnโt used as often. For example:
๋ชฉ์ด ์ํ๋ค - a sore throat ํฌ์ฃผ๋ ๋๋ฌผ์ ๋ชฉ์ด ๋ฉ์๋ค - tears clogged Hee-Juโsย throat
Hope that clears up some confusion!ย
Happy Learning :)ย

Level 2 / Lesson 7: Adverbs
์๋ ! Hey everyone! Today we have a pretty basic lesson all about adverbs! Adverbs in Korean are pretty straightforward and thereโs not a ton to say about them, so Iโm just pulling a post from my Instagram and putting it here so yโall can see it! Of course, feel free to ask any questions if you have any!

Level 10 / Lesson 4: -๋ค๋ part 2
์๋ ํ์ธ์! Hey everyone! A little while ago I posted part 1 about -๋ค๋, and hereโs part 2! This part is a little more complicated than the first, but Iโll do my best to make it a little easier to digest for yโall! Letโs get into it!ย
Another Usage: -ใด๋ค๋
In the first part of this lesson I mentioned how -๋ค๋ is made up of -๋ค๊ณ and -(์ผ)๋๊น. You probably know that -๋ค๊ณ is what you attach to verbs and adjectives to quote what someone said. This is part of the second usage of -๋ค๊ณ . Letโs look at a formula first:
[verb stem] + ใด๋ค๋
Now letโs look at two similar but different sentences:
๊ทธ ์ฌ๋์ ํ๊ตญ์ด๋ฅผ ์ํ๋ค๋ ๋ฏฟ์ ์ ์์ด์.
๊ทธ ์ฌ๋์ ํ๊ตญ์ด๋ฅผ ์ํ๋ค๋ ๋ฏฟ์ ์ ์์ด์.ย
These both can be translated as โI canโt believe that he can speak Korean.โ But I want to draw your attention to the italicized parts of these sentences:ย ์ํ๋ค๋ vs.ย ์ํ๋ค๋. Whatโs the difference?
The sentence withย ์ํ๋ค๋, as we learned in part 1, just meansย โI canโt believe he can speak Korean.โ Maybe you met thisย โheโ and was conversing with him in Korean and then youโre talking to another friend about how good he is at speaking the language
The one with ์ํ๋ค๋, however, is a little different. Because you haveย -ใด๋ค๋ attached, youโre quoting what someone else said, and are reacting to that quote.ย Maybe youโre talking to your friend and they tell you that someone from the US can speak Korean really well. Therefore, you heard that he speaks Korean, and are reacting to hearing this news. Go!Billy describes it as like saying โWow, to hear that he can speak Korean!โย while the first sentence is just โWow, I canโt believe he can speak it!โ Letโs see another example:
๊ฐ๊ฐ ๋ฐ๋์ ํผ์ด๋ค๋! = To hear that he was having an affair!ย
Again, youโre reacting to hearing some wild news. Really, thereโs not a huge difference between this sentence andย ๊ฐ๊ฐ ๋ฐ๋์ ํผ์ฐ๋ค๋ in my opinion โ youโre reacting to the prospect of this person having an affair. I guess there could be an important distinction depending on the context, but I think yโall get the idea :)
One More (Complicated) Thing
So we spoke about the slight difference between [verb] + ๋ค๋ and [verb] + ใด๋ค๋. But what about stuff in the past tense and adjectives? Letโs look at these two sentences:
๊ฐ๊ฐ ๋ฐ๋์ ํผ์ ๋ค๋! = To think that he was having an affair! / To hear that he was having an affair!
๊ทธ๊ฑธ ๊ทธ๋ ๊ฒ ๋น์ธ๋ค๋! = I canโt believe that thing is so expensive! / To hear that that thing is so expensive!ย
We know that when youโre quoting adjectives or something in the past tense, you simply add -๋ค๊ณ , NOT -ใด๋ค๋ like you would with verbs. As a result, here, they can be reactions to either of the two: seeing the thing happening, or hearing about the thing happening! Itโs ambiguous! But again, the distinction is usually pretty negligible I think, and you might be able to tell which interpretation is appropriate depending on the context. Hope that all makes sense โ I highly recommend Go!Billyโs video for a little more clarity!ย ย
Other Add-Onsย
If youโre familiar with quoting in Korean, you know that thereโs more than just -๋ค๊ณ and -๋ผ๊ณ . Thereโs also -๋๊ณ , which is used for quoting questions, and -์๊ณ for quoting suggestions (as in quoting someone saying โletโs do smthโ). I recommend checking out my Quoting Continued lessonย so this part will make more sense!
Likewise, you can use those other quoting forms like you use -๋ค๋ and -๋ผ๋ โ you can say -๋๋ and -์๋. Letโs see some examples!
๋ด๊ฐ ๋ฐ๋์ ํผ์ฐ๋๋! = He asked me if I was cheating on him! / To think that he asked me if I was having an affair!
๋ฏธ๊ตญ์ ์๋ ๋ญ๋๋ ์ ๋ง ์ด์ด๊ฐ ์๋ค์. = Itโs really ridiculous that he asked me what the capital of the US is.
์ํ ์ค๋น ๊ฐ ์ฌ๊ท์๋! = [I canโt believe that] Eun-taek asked me to date him! / To think that Eun-taek said โletโs dateโ!
๊ฐ์ด ๋ฐฅ ๋จน์๋ ๊ธฐ๋ถ์ด ๋์์ก์ด. = I feel better now that you suggested we eat together.
