Great Advanced BJJ session with @moskova @moskova_europe in Fuertaventura, Corralejo tonight. Some nice details on torreador passing and leg drags. Then some tough 5-min rounds with a lightweight, middleweight and super heavyweight blue belts and a middleweight purple belt. Great to train outside of the normal circle and test some of my stuff on new guys. A few areas to develop (as always). Train hard, Recover hard When you ask 100% of your body, recovery isn't just lazing on the sofa. I use stretching and band protocol from @suppleleopard by Dr Kelly Starrett and @glencordoza, foam rollering on large muscle groups, golf ball/hockey ball on feet n hands and then finished off with @three_leopard @three_leopard_uk oil for massage. This is the new wonder oil which is great pre-training for the boxing and thaiboxing guys and post-training for the BJJ/MMA guys. Great for muscle strain, muscle fatigue, bruising, anti-inflammatory, kills staph and MRSA. Now stocking at reception at the gym. Great spar today with @yodphetmuaythai Starting to feel more like myself again. 8kg down but still plenty to go. The biggest lesson I can share is that I'm still judging my body shape by my 30yr old self when I was training 4/5hrs every day.....as opposed to the 20-min micro training blasts I get now.
