asking for help is not something i'm good at, but i just paid rent for august only to find out that my boss/landlord (same guy) is cutting my hours by more than half, so he'll be paying me less than he's charging me in rent. which is also going to fuck up my food stamps because the government hates poors. i have a small network in the city that i am reaching out to for a new job, but that's a process and my expenses are time sensitive.

I'm sure I've complained about this here before, but it will always drive me nuts that the games only had generic spotted eggs while the anime had unique egg designs that actually matched the Pokemon. Your cats are not "manipulating" you they are communicating with you. They do not understand why you're limiting their food supply or keeping them indoors or preventing them from ruining your furniture or whatever.

When they meyowl pathetically for more food, it's not because they're trying to "trick" you into feeding them again. They just want to be fed, and they're smart enough to notice the correlation between certain sounds they make and the responses they get from you.

They've figured out that if they want to communicate to you that they want more food, if they make those pathetic sounds, you're more likely to behave as if you've understood what they're trying to communicate.
