Like Q on Trek, if you follow that. So Gerald as SkankHunt42 is a perfect match in my opinion. Randy has always acted out and explored himself, Gerald hasn’t and he’s now middle aged and where has that really got him?

So... I put Sharon Marsh as the Empress. With Chrysanthamums in the background (the traditional ‘mother’ flower) and a pic of Stan and Shelly on the side table.

I love Sharon. I wish they had more time to give her more character development. She’s come a long way from just blindly following Sheila in everything.

(Also, fun fact. I hate Randy. Hate in order of The Stotches, Randy. There. I’ve said it.)

(Sharon deserves so much better than Randy in my opinion).

Here I’m trying to find the most powerful point of the image to deliver the full feeling of Wendy’s strength, both physically and mentally.

So, a section of panels from a comic skit I’ve had in my head over a year. Since I got my first ‘grown up’ bike after not having ridden one in about 30 years and that being my primary school bike. Tweeks experiences are basically my first ride on my bike.

I’ve noticed that I’m drawing more quickly and more instinctively now. I’ve always had a strict style-sheet in my head for both Craig and Tweek. Tweek is about 1.5 inches shorter than Craig (who is 6.4, yes, my Tweek did manage to break the height barrier!) but he’s a little bit stockier, which I try to show in his nose, chin and hips. Craig has the really cut cheekbones and the tiptilt nose.

INSPIRATION CORNER

Hey guys, if you’re into design/art and want to improve, Digital FX mag is great. The current manga issue has an excellent interview with an artist called Guweiz, totally beneficial info.

Also somwhere in that issue someone says they have to gain the discipline of not playing games when they’re meant to be working. Hmmm.... sounds like someone I might know.... oh well, off gain more achievements in GW2!

So, this is what came to me on a 3.00 am walk home drunk from a friends house after watching videos and eating takeaway.

Justice: either right way up where it means a fair decision will be made, or reversed, which is basically how Sheila behaved and is represented well by her attitude in this whole debacle.

I have yet to do a proper sketch of Sheila, only just finished T & P today and the paper is not agreeing with my fingers. It feels off. (also the only rubber I had to had was a cheap nasty one that kept shredding. It was nice to draw by hand again, though).

Working towards card 1: The Magician.

(Though Cartman is technically a wizard king, he does embody the energy and capriciousness of this card)

The draft sketches below were my starting point but I didn’t think they had enough of the raw dynamism and power that this card is also meant to symbolise. The final placement/pose I think brings much more movement and immediacy to the piece.

(Secretly, I do want a South Park colouring book..... who of you out there would LOVE one of those??!!).

I actually don’t know how I didn’t upload this one to here before. It’s about a year old now, one of my first attempts (I decided the background overwhealmed it (more ambient lighting would have been the solution for that)) and that I sucked at hair and needed to learn it quick. At least I (an ex-barista, Sydney taught, we love our coffee made properly and are amazing snobs for it) got in loads of different stuff on the board.

The Fool, (W.I.P)

This still isn’t finished but I’m feeling down and want to post something to show I’m progressing somewhat. I’m thinking of moving onto at least the start of the next card because I am overly tired of tiny details at the moment and putting the base down on a new card should help alleviate that.

Either that or I’ll get cracking an finishing Cthulu down there on the bottom of this one.

Thinking all day today over several of my pieces and contemplating where I could do better. The question now is... do I go back and re-work pieces, (which has the risk of overworking them attached to it)(and also will slow down workflow on new pieces), or continue forwards with my new pieces and try to learn and apply the new lessons there. What would you guys do?
